    Oh my... I was having some issues making this work until I realised I had closed the "config" file from Equalizer APO
    Once I opened it back and selected my custom file in "Include"... well... I am pretty much blown away!

    I have seriously awesome sound now. I copied your settings and barely changed them except for Preamplification Gain and made it louder. I wasn't sure they would work since I have a quieter female voice but its perfect. Wow, I have followed your videos on Voice Meeter Potato and added this for polish. All the videos are great and easy to learn. Thanks, Franswah

    The silence before "uh..." was accentuated by the beat going silent @3:16 hahaha. Not making fun, I was just so focused that it caught me off guard, lol. THANK YOU for not only having a guide but for including _presets_ so people have a starting example of what to expect and something to play around with to tune for their own voice. I can't count how many times I've given up my search after Google sessions kept coming up short because people kept wanting to say "just play around with it." I get the basics of EQ but could not understand why sound would just cut out or have artifacts when I could get it to come back. The whole thing was a non-starter until your video. Thank you lil' Nick Hexum. Thank you 🙏

    Great Video! Full of learning what I would say would apply for folks that setup digital mixers in live environments, such as qu-16 PEQ settings. Would you think those settings for a digital mixer which has 4 Bands under EQ, would work? Thanks!

    The files must have changed as I am unable to find specific files that you are saying to include, I think it may have been updated. Also it keeps saying Plugin crashed during initiallization.

    Quick simple question: How can I set different configurations for different devices in E-APO? I have speakers and a mic, but the config just runs on both of them. If I use Control > Device, it just runs on one and not the other. Thanks

    Once I have the APO all setup, what input should I set in Potato? I know you said to NOT use my microphone as the input, but rather something else if using APO. Also, I use two different mics, one my Yeti, and the other my wireless headset depending on how I'm recording or what I'm doing, e.g. google chat/meeting, Zoom, streaming on Streamlabs, etc.

    I need help! It was working fine before, then now my mic is not working... When I try to listen, i only hear noise and when i mute/unmute my mic (hyperx cloud stinger)... When I try to talk it's not registering.

    My voice tends to fade out before I'm done speaking, or just get quiet randomly when I don't intend it. Additionally, my microphone has to be extremely close for it to pick up proper sound. I have copied the settings exactly and am wondering what i should adjust to get rid of this?

    bro, I have tried using equaliser apo so many times and it never seems to have any effect on my microphone (using a headset mic) on realtek drivers, any idea why?

    Hello! I love the video! It is very informative!! I was wondering if this setup in the video works with the voicemeeter or if thats a different setup from the one in the video? As Voicemeeter is confusing as is and im trying too put in the equalizer into the mix it feels like a lot! Thanks!

      It will work with VM.. so Equalizer APO will install onto your microphones driver. It will just become part of the microphone

    I did this and my mic sounds almost wavy? As if it keeps slightly lowering and raising the gain, and it doesn't sound the best. Any idea on how to fix this?

    saw i watched the whole thing(and followed instructions just fine for adjusting settings) but my voicemeeterclient program isn't doing anything when i try to run it. so my microphone isn't getting adjusted at all despite all that work. edit: okay well i just tinkered with the volume dial (preamp) to see if it's actually doing something and it is...so i guess i just need to tweak things. ugh. this might take awhile to figure out how to fix it. i mean i guess i kind of heard a difference but overall i just kept hearing the same oh please make it stop stuff that i was hearing before so i need to keep at it to get rid of it.

    Discord Voice Activity Issue: I noticed the ReaGate attack time was a bit too fast for Discord's Voice Activity threshold. I set the ReaGate Attack to 5ms instead of 3ms, and that seemed to do the trick.

    Do i need voicemeeter for that program to have effect on my mic ? Cause I hear no difference and I copied every single settings. I might do it again just to be sure
    I uninstalled voicemeeter cause it had buzzy sounds on discord but worked perfectly anywhere else and I was hoping to find a program that can adjust my sound quality. I find nothing but voicemeeter :/ I was hoping that program would help me getting that perfect studio/podcast sound.
    edit: I'm using Rode NT1 connected by XLR to my Onyx audio interface.

    It worked, sort of, I managed to reduce the background noise but frankly I sound awful. I'll work on it later and give updates to let you know if I managed to make myself sound better.

    At the end of the video, you mentioned you no longer have to have the AUX as the default recording device, as this all applies directly to the mic. However, I sometimes enjoy trolling my friends in Discord and feeding my Spotify directly into the Aux (B2) output. Would I run into any issues if I kept the default recording device as it was before, rather than changing it to my microphone?

      It can be hard to do without damaging your voice. Best you can do is Noise Gate and simple EQ adjustments in those ranges

    Hi, nice video btw, i have a problem, i use a condensator mic (without phantom power)so i used to just turno on the preamplificator on 14db and that worked, but after I added the VST files the preamplificator doesnt seems to help

    I hope someone can help me here. I went through the voicemeeter set up video yesterday and everything was decent. Then I went through this one today and I am super super scratchy and static-y and even when I turn everything off in E/APO I still sound very scratchy and nothing I have messed with in either program has made a difference. Any advice?

      Theres 3 types of input in the drop down when youre selecting your microphone; WDM, KS, and MME. I had this problem too but it went away when I switched from MME to WDM. Hope it helps ^^

    i was having FAT issues with static/whitenose in Banana but using your settings for the equalizer apo fixed it.
    Using RODE Podmic. had to cut out some more lows cause i sounded like a dubstep concert xD
