      I would like it but I dont think it will happen. Nintendo is very protective of their characters. That mean it can't come out on home consoles besides the switch or new Nintendo console. Also Capcom has much more realistic sizes while Nintendo doesn't. Along with also all Nintendo fighters being smash bros, a platform fighter, while Capcom has next to none. It can happen but I don't have high hopes. The most we will get is probably for Capcom fighting game characters in smash like guile, akuma,m.bison, some characters from dark stalkers and more.

    Your picks are interesting, but it is more likely CAPCOM versus matches probably would be with significant and deeper works from Japan or other parts of the world, which most creative works have been from Japan and America when it comes to deeper works, but mainly Japan when it meant being consistent with their classic franchises. Speaking of Disney, the cats would probably revolve around older characters from Walt Disney’s history and in addition of characters from unique pieces of media such as Jack and Woody.

    Marvel vs Capcom 4 and Capcom vs SNK 3 are easy and automatic in most fighting game fans minds. I'd like to see Capcom vs DC Heroes. Capcom vs Mortal Kombat seems like a natural, but I don't know the Mortal Kombat characters are just too different to make it a good crossover. The entire Capcom roster would have to be given brutal fatalities like what happened with DC vs Mortal Kombat and it just seems so out of left field for the Capcom characters. Nintendo Vs Capcom was a good idea in the video, going along that same vein how about Sega vs Capcom?

    15 years ago Konami made a crossover fighting game between Weekly Shōnen Sunday and Weekly Shōnen Magazine called Sunday vs Magazine: Shūketsu! Chōjō Daikessen. Now I’m not sure Capcom could ever do a crossover with Jump, Bandai Namco seems to have them on lockdown, at least when it comes to console games. But it might be possible for Capcom to do a crossover with either Sunday or Magazine, or both of them...and they both have cool stuff, and they both have stuff an American audience would also know.
    Capcom vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters. It might sound like an odd one, but Capcom has done two art shows in Japan under this banner (one that ran from the end of 2020 and into 2021, and another last year in 2023) and has a third that starts later this month and will run into November.
    Project X Zone Fighting Game. The follow-up to Namco × Capcom that added Sega into the mix, the first came out in 2012, the second got its North American release in 2016, and there was never a fighting game that came out of it.
    Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat would be cool. That’s something basically every elementary school age boy in the early ‘90s wanted. It’s also just be nice to have violence (and vomit) return to Street Fighter, and crossing over with Mortal Kombat would be a pretty good excuse to not only bring that Street Fighter 2 stuff back, but to go as crazy as the mangas that influenced Street Fighter 2...stuff like Riki-Oh and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
    I do find it odd Capcom has never just done a Marvel vs Capcom style Hyper Fighter game with just their own characters. Like you look at Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, that game has 25 completely finished Capcom characters really to go for a Capcom Hyper Fighters game. Even if they were unsure if there was an audience for it, the work that’d need to be done to turn it around into something new would be fairly minimal. I mean, they’ve got 25 Capcom characters in UMvC3, and they made 4 more for Infinite. They would need to retexture them, but just right there thats 29 characters with finished models (more than one finished model for all the characters) and animations; on top of that they’ve also got animations done for 7 Capcom characters that are in Tatsunoko vs Capcom that never made it into the later Marvel games.

    • @miasuke
      @miasuke Před 2 měsíci +1

      I can't see Mortal Kombat VS Street Fighter because of the nature of both games, specially the contrast of violence between these two games...
      Now, Mortal Kombat VS DarkStalkers... Oh, boy... I can see it very well.

    • @DIOBrando-ij2bp
      @DIOBrando-ij2bp Před 2 měsíci

      @@miasuke It’s not hard to imagine. The most popular Street Fighter game there’s ever been, Street Fighter 2, had blood, it had those lose portraits showing the characters all beaten and bloody (which got bloodier in Street Fighter 3), and when characters got hit with strong mid attacks they’d vomit. It’s actually kind of weird Street Fighter as a series hasn’t leaned more into the violent side of the series since Street Fighter 2 is still the biggest one. It’s pretty easy to imagine a Street Fighter game that’s as bloody as Capcom’s own 2D JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game... the manga being an influence on the Street Fighter series. Also an influence is Riki-Oh; you should go look at the manga, anime, or live action movie (Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky) of that thing.
      Now, I can’t see a Street Fighter game (even one with Mortal Kombat) having the long drawn out Fatalies of modern Mortal Kombat, (maybe for some characters, but not everyone) but I can easily imagine them doing something like the series’ modern version of Brutalites. Like, when you fight Akuma as a hidden boss in Capcom vs SNK he drops out of the sky, chops through M. Bison, and “blood” shoots out. A Street Fighter game could do that exact same thing like a Brutality in-game, where you’ve got big anime blood sprays instead of some blue energy stuff, and you see the character fall apart instead of staying together.
      The thing with Darkstalkers is... most people don’t care about Darkstalkers. It was never particularly big, so doing a crossover between it and Mortal Kombat would be fairly pointless. On the other hand there was a time when Street Fighter was basically the biggest video game series on the face of the Earth, and during that time seeing the Street Fighter characters and the Mortal Kombat characters fight each other was something every little boys would talk about with his friends at school or whatever.

    Late but:
    Disney vs. Capcom:
    I like you having TV originals in there, but this is "Kingdom Hearts hasn't touched the TV" Disney we're talking about. I think you'd probably have to have over 30 Disney characters before The Mouse would start allowing that. But...even if they went there? Luz and Anne wouldn't be the choices.

    Row 6: Jack Sparrow, Indiana Jones, Mary Poppins, Live-Action Cruella, Alexander Hamilton
    Row 7: Goliath, Perry the Platypus, Kim Possible, Bill Cipher, Milo Murphy

  • @KamisamanoOtaku
    @KamisamanoOtaku Před 2 měsíci +1

    *Edit:* _Originally posted this while braindead from fatigue. Now I know how crazy it sounds. Though if the market could support it..._
    *We need Capcom and Marvel/Disney to release a variety of compatible crossover games **_before_** we see Marvel Vs Capcom 4.* Which _sort of_ ties into what the video is saying, but if someone wants to milk this idea for another video, I won't complain. XD *Capcom can use this to revive dormant franchises **_while_** building the resources and roster for Marvel Vs Capcom 4* or whatever it ends up being called. *Warning:* I went full otaku on this, so yes it'll be long and confusing. Bail out now if you don't wanna hear (read?) it. XD
    *Let me propose some examples.* I'll include a two titles; one focused on the two biggest contributing franchises, another that is more general. Why? Because there are just *so many* IPs owned by Capcom and Marvel (let alone Disney) that *aren't* strong enough to get their own fighting games/relaunch their series *but* showing up in a VS game _might_ just be the spark they need to ignite a comeback. *Asset reuse is an important part of this series.* This means double dipping is _not_ a problem, and _some_ characters might make sense showing up in most (if not _every_ ) one of these. Like Dr. Doom (he can do almost anything). *Anyone reading this* feel free to reply with appropriate Marvel or Capcom franchises I've overlooked, whether they belong to the examples below or would make sense as their own thing.
    In some cases, either title might intentionally use a name that that _sounds_ appropriate and is owned by either company *but* barely has any connection to the cast (see first example).
    *Marvel 2099 Vs Monsteropolis* or _Marvel Vs Capcom: Future Imperfect_
    What the heck is Monsteropolis? All the "futuristic" Capcom titles that spring to mind are named after the main character: Captain Command, Strider, and all the various Mega Man titles, so I stole the name of a city (?) from the original Mega Man game on the NES. *I favor the alternate title here!* _Hulk: Future Imperfect_ was a successful comic from the 90s, where the (then) present day Hulk traveled to a future where his future self went by "The Maestro" and controlled his own city. Maestro has (almost) nothing to do with Marvel 2099, but his timeline is around that far into the future *and* he's a decent candidate for the game's end boss. Marvel 2099 as a setting offers a massive selection of characters that could be built off (or built into) their mainstream counterparts. On the Capcom side of things, the real question might be _which_ Mega Man series to include.
    *Marvel Knights Vs Final Fight* or _Marvel Vs Capcom: Streetwise_
    "Marvel Knights" was an imprint used by Marvel for four titles that were outsourced to Event Comics, then was the real-world title for a team led by Daredevil. We are appropriating it for Marvel's "street level" heroes a.k.a. the ones that would be best suited for a beat'em up. Likewise, _Final Fight: Streetwise_ did poorly but at least its name could prove useful. While *not* actually a beat'em up (unless they think they can pull if off), remember we _also_ want fighters to reuse in _other_ Vs games. Characters from Final Fight - both playable and enemies! - have been showing up in Street Fighter games since _Street Fighter Alpha_ ! So even though "Marvel Knights" has been mostly dormant over the last decade, its _perfect_ for our purposes.
    *Iron Man Vs Mega Man* or _Marvel Vs Capcom: Armor Wars_
    Another one where I recommend the _alternate_ title, because this is a game to highlight the crazy technology-based characters from Marvel and Capcom. Though Iron Man and at least one iteration of Mega Man _would_ be included, you've got Deathlok, Dr. Doom, Forge (X-Men), Vision... okay, there are many more *but* I'm far from current with Marvel and some characters like Cypher/Warlock have a confusing, entangled history. For the Capcom side, I'd focus on the Mega Man X series, but also Cyberbots. There are probably some others I'm overlooking. A _little_ double-dipping with the MvC: Future Imperfect titles is probably fine too e.g. we can probably sneak in Capcom Commando and/or Strider.
    *Midnight Suns Vs Darkstalkers* a.k.a. _Marvel Vs Capcom: Horror_
    Midnight Suns (or Midnight Sons) gives us a solid sample of supernatural-ish characters, as does Darkstalkers. Maybe include some Resident Evil characters if they don't clash with this game's tone too much. Midnight Suns is _trying_ to be a bit more serious (I think) while Darkstalkers has always had a good dose of humor to go with its horror. I'd even through in some of the appropriately flavored Street Fighter characters like Akuma and Necro.
    *Marvel's Godwheel Vs Red Earth* a.k.a. _Marvel Vs Capcom: Fantasy_
    Deep cut for the primary title, which probably means the alternate is actually the better choice. Marvel has a decent selection of characters that fit the _fantasy_ archetype, and I want an excuse to revive Red Earth, while including Ghosts 'n Goblins, The King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, Maximo, Okami, and maybe even new(ish) characters who reference _Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara_ The Godwheel is an artifact from the Ultraverse, originally the superhero imprint for Malibu comics. Who published a short-lived _Street Fighter_ comic back in the 90s, go figure. Probably *not* using any Ultraverse characters, but Black Knight, Dr. Strange, Juggernaut, Hercules, Thor, and related characters make this just barely _plausible_ but I confess, this is a game more for the Capcom side of things. Unless Marvel suddenly gets the rights to Conan back...
    *Power Stone Vs Indiana Jones* a.k.a. _Marvel Vs Capcom: Adventure_
    *I know Indiana Jones isn't Marvel!* Both are owned by Disney _and_ I figure Indies a bigger draw than the Marvel (or even other Disney) properties that would _fit_ this setting. This one might be stretching things even more than usual since Power Stone games don't play like Street Fighter (or the Versus series games) but we've got characters worth using *and* a Capcom franchise that might finally be revived, so I'll include it anyway. Also, this explains why the previous entry didn't use "Adventure" in the title.
    *Star Wars Vs Star Gladiator* a.k.a. _Marvel Vs Capcom: Galactic_
    If you didn't see this coming, it is probably because I am all over the place. *Yes,* I wanted to stick to Marvel but this might be the only "safe" way to relaunch _Star Gladiator_ If Disney says "No", then make it *Guardians of the Galaxy Vs Star Gladiator.* Even _with_ Star Wars, I'd still like to include misc. space themed Marvel Characters. and some Battle Circuit characters.
    *I doubt that Capcom/Disney should try for **_all_** of these,* but one or two could be a big help paving the way for a new, large Marvel Vs Capcom game. Even further off topic, I'd also consider some _non_ crossover titles, like an _X-Men: Children of the Atom '97_ or Avengers-based fighting game or even a Spider-Man focused game *if* Sony can playball (I doubt Sony would, though). *Just to be clear, I liked (and Liked) the above video! Suggestions more inline with the above video would have made more sense, but I actually see those as something to pursue in addition to or after furthering the Marvel Vs Capcom series.

    From when you showed Studio Trigger vs Capcom. I literally thought it was Shonen Gangan vs Capcom. 😅

    As much as Nintendo BW Capcom would be cool there’s no way it’d happen with how differently the two operate. Nintendo’s obviously going to continue championing exclusive games for their hardware (as they should) and Capcom’s growing tremendously from going all in on multi platform releases (as they should).
    I don’t think either will budge on that ground alone but if somehow it was made it’d be a match made in Heaven.
    Now a Trigger vs Capcom, that one sounds more doable and also tickles my fancy. I want Panty & Stocking in a fighting game god damn it! Wither it be a solo Trigger crossover or your idea for it to be a vs. Capcom game.

      I did admittedly forget that there were a few original characters in Melty Blood that French Bread might own, though the majority of the cast should be owned by Type-Moon.

    It could be possible to get a shonen jump vs capcom, after all look at J stars and Jump force plus other shonen jump crossover games, that's a crossover fighting game I've been wanting since i was a kid.
    "your grandparents could tell who Mario is" actually no they couldn't, they're from a village in Mexico.

    Disney vs Capcom.
    I want the Scott and Ryu handshake iconography of the game to be Morrigan and Mickey pairing off against Lilith and Oswald.
    Imagine the potential fun there. Leon and Judy Hopps being buddy cops. B.B. trying to merc Jack or Mike & Sully. Luz teaming up with Wanda and Tessa.

    I love Capcom Vs. Capcom 2, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, and Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, I also love Capcom Vs. SNK 1, and Marvel Vs. Capcom 1. I am fine with those games existing the way they are already. I like sequels, but I don't need them. I'm fine staying just with the ones that already exist. That said, some remakes like Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 HD would also be welcomed. Where you have Ultra HD sprites running at 120 FPS on 16:9 ratio without stretching anything.
    If they were to make a sequel. I would love if they just build on the assets they already have, similar to Mortal Kombat Trilogy, you get everything that is there already and you add more stuff.
    In that case I would definitely love more X-Men characters from different factions like Alpha Flight, X-Force, X-Factor, Brotherhood of Mutants, New Mutants, Generation X, Acolytes, Morlocks, Marauders, Excalibur, etc..
    The same thing with Tatsunoko, I definitely want more Science Ninja Team Gatchaman characters.
    Then for SNK they also could add many more KOF, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, World Heroes, The Last Blade, and Samurai Shodown that haven't been featured before.
    In terms of a new franchise I would say the no brainer one would definitely be Jump Vs. Capcom, which shouldn't be a problem since Bandai Namco already has those licenses and they are a gaming company too. That's why Street Fighter X Tekken already exists.
