Ohhhh interesting! I take back my comment about it not fitting the theme. That would have been good information to put in the description of their entry
Thanks for the short critique on my burial hill :) And thank you for bringing attention to this competition. I am excited for the next bigger iteration :D
If I had to guess the secret lab seems to be based on a real place in Philadelphia, PhilaMOCA, a former mausoleum show room that was turned into an art gallery/music venue. Used to go there pretty regularly when I lived in Philly and I will say in the creator’s defense that the interior is about as bare as it is in the model when the stage isn’t set up lol
And now a new reddit to join - although I expect to not be near the level of these folks, but plan to enter anyway. I would suggest - mainly given the commentary by Eric - that an added criteria for judging would be playability. (and maybe then - if enough entries - to add display and playable sub-categories for the open and raw)
I love the thoughtful analysis about what little details either break immersion or really sell the piece. It shows the thought process of a true terrain master!
Really awesome work... if and when you need a content break , have the winners on , in person or via zoom , some of thier tips and inspiration would be great
What's sad is that I follow MANY crafters such as yourself, DM Scotty, BMC, Wyloch, etc... And this is the first time I hear of this tournament! Had I known about it, I most likely would have joined in
Them:creates super cool houses with all details Me:takes grey spray, Polystyrene from the fridge my parents bought, drybrushed it brown in 5 minuten and glues it on top *I SEE NO DIFFERNCE AT ALL*
Descent in the darkness reminds me of a dungeon in conan exiles. It's a really great terrain maybe for the playability but it really felt kinda alive. Hauler is great too but as Eric said it doesn't feel crashed. Good job everyone anyway
Hi Eric, I love your work. And have used many of your tips to build and paint terrain and minis. I was curious if you have ever heard of sprue goo and its many uses. With your scratch building it would be amazing to see what you can do with sprue goo
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Oh, my bad! I just saw the url for your website, thought I'd check it out and I noticed that. Didn't know it was still under construction :)

In some places in Scandinavia "the hidden place" (or something in that style) is slang for outhouses.

Every entry was excellent. Thanks for highlighting other people's work in the hobby, Eric. The winners both earned their prize.
Thanks for reviewing all our work! Looking forward to the next round of competitions - thanks for working to grow the community
Crashed cargo hauler is awesome. I really love it!

The island one would be great for a custom scenario for Ghost Archipelago.
Some nice bits and some fair critiques.

The dioramas are great; and Eric's commentary is detailed and informative. Good work all round.
I've finally finished my first build, it feels nuts to see it and think that I made it

Upbeat, insightful, balanced commentary. Lucky competitors
Hey Eric, what is your filming set up? What sort of camera/cameras do you use? Thanks for any information.
Wow. Great entries. Reallly like your competitionnidwa. Well done. More please.

Was there something (hidden) inside entry 2?
Could the roof or the door be taken off to reveal what was hidden?

Seems kinda gnarly. I am trying minimize home cooked toxic brews now that i have a baby in the house. Seems like there are plenty of uses though
I didn’t hear about it I would have blown it up
Didn't know this was a thing or I would have entered one of my old videos from my channel! Next time.
Really cool video and great project.
What is that lovely music in the background
Great Great video
From where are these miniatures used in the 11:57 "Descent into darkness"? They looks great! I would not mind to have them on the shelf.
They look like zombiecide figures
I'm in on the next one
Nicely Done All.!.!.!.!
I think you chose the right winner!
Hey Eric, in your opinion which is best new or old Necromunda? 🤔
U is a good boy Mr Eric! 🐶🥰

What is in the outhouse? Does it open?

Hey Eric, was just checking out your website. The Blog link at the bottom of the page gives a 404 error. Just thought you should know.
There shouldn’t even be a blog link. Weird. I’ll look into it. Im still working on the website as i’m sure you noticed
