    Hi, nice review Edd! I actually test drived Toyota Proace van few months ago (witch is same psa van), and I noticed that steering wheel is not centered with driver seat. Same problem was in Peugeot Expert. Maybe it was LHD problem only and RHD model is ok. Anyways, as a car guy, it bothered me that much, that I went for Renault Trafic this time, allthough I liked everything else.

    The gear selector was a notice problem for me aswell. I have the 120 biturbo vivaro and love it. I prefer the looks of the old and I prefer the style of the interior of the old. There is alot les s space in the back too on the new one. The whole new remodel of the exterior isn't great either. The way the light lenses stick out at the back and the position of the fuel cap. It looks like it's melted in the heat and somene. has tried to pick it back up and mold it into shape. Not a fan of the twin sliders either. Less space for racking and storage. Not a van for me, why did you go to Peugeot and Citroen, Vauxhall?

    A majority of van drivers are tradies along with couriers. As a tradie it's more about the space and what can be realistically fitted in the back not just the drive. The benchmark used to be a full sheet of plywood. I had to step up to the long wheelbase in the current one I have for just that now they are making them smaller?

IBC Vehicles (Vauxhall Luton) and the sister factory in France had to add additional shifts to cope with demand, and it's overtime city. Also PSA invested a lot of money in the Luton factory and have more to come, so we'll be in it for a while.

    Got a 69 plate on a couple of months hire at the moment.. It's the base model and I must say as a van this size it's excellent. Better drive (when loaded) than the Ford customs I've had... They've gone too far to car driving (bouncy suspension when loaded).
    I'm well impressed, apart from the front 3rd passenger space.. However that's very rarely used.
    Highly recommended from me.. And miles above the other vans based on this platform.

      It IS small. No comparison to the "older" Vivaro. Which by the way would have met current emission standards if they had stayed in the program. Trafic, NV300 and Talento all are in Euro6 D-Temp and they actually are smoking with the new 2 Liter 170Ps Diesel and the DCT.

    Glad Edd mentioned it’s the Citroen dispatch. Which a mate has and said it’s useless for cup holders. It has some but poor design. Can’t fit much in. It looks massively smaller than the previous vivaro which looked better. The middle seat folding down and being a work table for laptop etc was a good feature on the previous one and now only the traffic. Seems Vauxhall is now not in the top 3 for medium vans. • @robertrool8108
      @robertrool8108 Před 4 lety

      No, but it's a way to make a painted bumper an extra feature and get more money. The same with door handles and mirror covers.

    • @Mike_5
      @Mike_5 Před 4 lety

      @@robertrool8108 Fair point but are you sure the actual drivers of the vans will follow the same logic?

    • @robertrool8108
      @robertrool8108 Před 4 lety

      @@Mike_5 there's another reason that panel vans have black bumpers and better equipped mpv versions have painted ones - the manufacturer has to keep cheaper end vans price as low as possible to have an advantage against competition. Also the painted bumpers of this model are quite prone to scratches, even a slight brush from a careless unloading will damage the paint (experience from the Peugeot Exper Traveller that didn't have any protective sticker either). The drivers are not the ones buying those vans anyway, but if diving into the matter is at hand - the insurance companies also won't mind if the vehicles have cheaper repair costs, that means a car or a van will have cheaper insurance too. It matters when a company owns 30-50 similar vans.

    Is there a AWD model

      There is, but not directly from Vauxhall/Pug. 4x4 on these vans is added by an aftermarket manufacturer, Dangel.

    This is a good competitior to the transporter but I'd buy the T6.1 even though it isn't build in england but its got a better interior and list of options

      Probably vw built lot better. Just because it’s made here doesn’t mean the standards is gone be excellent like a rolls Royce. It’s a crummy french van at the end of the day. VW hold their value for a reason. I have a transit custom and would have that over any van. If ford stopped vans I might go VW. Never a french van

      @@GregsMowing transit custom is a good van......interior is a lot better now, never like the ford interiors over the past 9 years or so......but if you want performance then vw all the way

      Harley Robertson the transit mk7 from 2006-2014 was best interior in my opinion. The mk8 was ok. Big cubby holes. The new mk9 has same interior as the new custom with an additional storage in front of the middle seat. VW are good vans. Never driven one but heard lots of people say it is quite old to drive compared to the custom. The cup holders are strangely placed in the transporter - much like that dispatch thing.

      @@GregsMowing the mk7 transit has a good interior design, just what you need and no finicky extras, mk8 was just too many buttons and the transporter chassis is extremely old now based on the T5 from 2003 I believe but the T7 is said to be completely reworked with a new chassis, whenever that comes out

      The transporter is so expensive though.
      Over 10k euro more then an equally equipped custom.
      And even then they have quite a lot of problems.
