Lesce Brass Band was established in 1955. Ever since, they have been building on quality and creative promotion around Slovenia and abroad. The three generations
in the orchestra are not only interrelated by music creativity, they also have common aspirations and successes, binding them through their work. They boast several domestic and international successes. The musicians of Lesce were successful three times at the international brass band competition for Golden Wing awards in Riva del Garda, Italy. In 2005, which was their jubilee year, they were the best in
their group. In 2004 their album was released precisely on the birthdate of Slavko Avsenik who composed six original compositions as request of the brass band, which were then arranged by Slavko Avstenik Jr. . The compositions celebrate the places in Radovljica local community. This year the wish of the band has fulfilled to present their compositions with pictures, which was supported by Radovljica local community at the very beginning.
The Brass Band is the most successful music group in Radovljica local community. They perform at solo concerts. During the Days of Boys Forever Young (Dnevi večno mladih fancov) they host a concert of several domestic and foreign brass bands, always sparking positive response of domestic public. They also attend other gatherings of brass bands. As regards organisation, the orchestra is led by Luka Fister and it is conducted by Marko Možina.
With regard to this project we wish to thank all who have contributed to its emergence
and implementation.
**DEUTSCH**
Das Blasorchester Lesce wurde 1955 gegründet. All diese Jahre baut das Orchester auf Qualität und kreativen Promotionaktivitäten rund um Slowenien und im Ausland. Drei Generationen, die im Orchester aufeinander treffen, verbindet nicht nur das musikalische Schöpfen, sondern auf Grund gemeinsamer Arbeit auch gemeinsame Bemühungen und Erfolge. Sie können sich mit zahlreichen Erfolge zu Hause und im Ausland rühmen; sogar dreimal waren die
Musiker aus Lesce im internationalen Wettbewerb der Blasorchester in Riva del Garda in Italien erfolgreich. 2005, gerade in ihtem Jubiläumsjahr, belegten sie den ersten Platz in der erste Gruppe. 2004 gaben sie eine CD gerade zum
Geburtstag von Slavko Avsenik aus, der sechs Originalkompositionen, bearbeitet seitens Slavko Avsenik d. J., verfasste. Die Musikstücke besingen Orte in der Gemeinde Radovljica. Heuer wurde ihnen der Wünsch erfüllt, ihre Kompositionen auch durch ein Bild darzustellen, wobei sie schon vom Anfang an seitens der Gemeinde Radovljica unerstützt wurden.
Das Orchester ist die erfolgreichste Musikgruppe in der Gemeinde Radovljica. Es veranstaltet selbständige Konzerte. Zum Tag der "Ewig jungen Knaben" veranstaltet es einen Musikschau mit zahlreichen einheimischen und fremden
Gastkapellen, der nie ohne guten Anklang unter slowenischem Publikum bleibt. Es nimmt auch an anderen Kappelentreffen teil. Organisatorisch wird das Orchester seitens Luka Fister geleitet, musikalisch seitens Marko Možina.
Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei allen, die bei der Entstehung und Ausführung
dieses Projektes geholfen haben.
