By this point, most of my positive feelings towards this film stem from nostalgia rather than praise. One of the things I find clever with this movie is how the _Britannic_ ultimately sinks: German sabotage. At the time of its production, it was still unclear whether she had been torpedoed or had hit a mine, something reflected in the crew's dialogue. So the film takes a third option.

Not really, the inquiry in 1916 concluded that it was a mine. The historical director of the movie after seeing how the movie twisted his words to make the ultimate garbage tow sinking we see requested to have his name removed from the credits

The fact that in 1916, the HMHS Britannic didn’t fall fast on her starboard side, but in 2000’s movie, it falls by starboard. But it was their idea.

I find it kind of funny how many actors I recognize in this film: John Rhys-Davies and Wolf Kahler reunite after playing major roles in _Raiders of the Lost Ark,_ while Ben Daniels would go on to play General Antoc Merrick in _Rogue One._
Also, the _Britannic's_ first officer is incorrectly named Townsend; his name was actually George Oliver. It's minor compared to the rest of the film's inaccuracies, but it is something worth noting.

I am sorry but I prefer the 2020 because that in the 2000 version the grand staircase is not really the same as the actual grand staircase of the Britannic, the real grand staircase design is the same as her twin sister ship, Olympic & Titanic and one thing Britannic sank due to landmine was hitted and explode, on the movie is causing throwing bottle which is not the causing of the sinking from the real Britannic in 1916
