The Elder Scrolls Online, abbreviated ESO, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is a part of the Elder Scrolls series. It was released for Windows and macOS in April 2014, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2015, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in June 2021.
The Elder Scrolls Online is set in the continent of Tamriel and features a storyline indirectly connected with the other games in the Elder Scrolls franchise. The game had been in development for seven years before its release in 2014, which required a mandatory monthly subscription model.
The Elder Scrolls Online initially received mixed reviews from critics. Reception improved significantly with the March 2015 re-release and rebranding as The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, transitioning to a buy-to-play model with microtransactions and an optional subscription. The game had sold over 15 million units by 2020 and generated over $2 billion in revenue by 2024.

ESO is the most immersive online game. It is a head above other MMORPGs and has the most underrated online performance. I really hope that the game will receive maximum development in terms of game development and popularity. I don't know why people think WOW is better when compared by classification WOW is like AAA, but ESO is AAAA

It is a seriously enjoyable MMO. I think the zones are just really enjoyable and quests fleshed out pretty well. A personal favourite is everything in Rivenspire.

Absolutely the GOAT man. Been my favorite game from 2014 on - coming from a WoW Andy before that :D WoW is fantastic, but ESO is just in a different league in my opinion. Most genuinely nice in-game community too. Cheers! Great video :)

Been playing for 6 months, have to say it's bloody great. Best thing is the questing stories and voice acting on them, excellent and sometimes hilarious. The lore books can have hilarious stories in them which is a nice touch. For 4 months'ish I used the inventory system without the ESO sub as a mini game😖, it can be rough on limited space but when I got it realising I'd keep playing the game it was well worth it, for the craft bag and crowns. I used to take the pi*** out of people who used the crown store for costumes etc....and then one day I'm fretting over what colour eye shadow my Sorc could wear to go with the eyes 😖🤣.....it happens to us all in the end 😂🎉

If you are a Elder Scrolls lover, accept that this game is a MMO with its mechanics, but place in such a beautiful sites of Tamriel, like 90% of the continent is in this game. Download addons to get a more immersive experiencie, make your character walk sometimes instead of running, read all the dialogues and most of the books. That’s how you will see ESO as a The Elder Scrolls singleplayer game.

With all that money generated per year, they should at least reinvent the combat system. It needs a major change.

Now if only ZOS would address its failing network, the bugs, some of which have been since v1., terrible customer service, etc. Its so aggravating because its a great gane and it is not being kept up to a decent standard.

ESO is probably the best MMO out there. You can start anywhere, your character can use any skills/armor/weapons/sets with ZERO sub. The game doesn't focus on " traditional endgame" so there isn't a rush to min/max to play the newest raid.
On top of that, the progression is horizontal so if you take a break for a year or two, your gear is not useless.

I highly doubt ESO is the reason for ES6 not being made. Zenimax develop ESO, bethesda develop Fallout Starfield and ES. They were developing Fallout and Starfield first. And now after Starfields main release, they are developing ES6.
An MMO and a single player game won't really detract from each other. Sure you'll see a few months of dip but so long as you don't have an expansion releasing alongside ES6 then you should be fine. Could easily intertwine the 2. ES6 expansion end of year, ESO expansion mid year.
The thing we really need to think about with the $2 billion amount, is the fact this game is likely to never die. Not at least for another 10 or 15 years. In fact I could easily see a massive overhaul to the graphics and gameplay and it still last a long time

    • @RangerGeorge
      @RangerGeorge  Před měsícem

It would be quite cool to see something like with FF14 (I don't want to world destroyed) but the game becomes more modern as a result. However with the amount of zones they've already made I can't imagine it

I strongly disagree that TESO was holding back TES 6. TES 6 would probably push the mmo massively. If they align the release for tes 6 with the biggest update for TESO it would only be a win win situation for Bethesda.

Question is why you need ES-6 when you have ESO? like makes slim 0 sense to ask for a game within the Elderscrolls World when you have a game that is consistently putting out new shit from said world. sure you as a Player in ESO are Weaker than a Charakter in a Pure singleplayer world but thats about it. every Zone/Chapter has a Main Story and about idk 30? side Stoires?
and i watched now a bit further MODS are NOT the BASEGAME. you can Put what modders do for a Game into the "Iconic status" of a game Skyrim aint that good without the mods. is okayish but actual GOOD games are GOOD without Mods period.
SUbnautica for example Perfect game no mods needed to make it easily into the top 20 games ever made
