I spent 3 years in Paris while in the U.S. Air Force in the early 60's and this was a song on a jukebox in a little café on the Left Bank. It too was a beautiful rendition and I danced to it many times with women I cared for. Brings back great memories.

My favorite love song and i like the English version of Mama Cass; french has something more to it. Then, Elton's, "Your Song". Both make me cry in a good way. To be loved like that again, or every the way he asks her to dance to it. This is a favorite movie that never gets old. Just funnier with age and a different perspective.

I'm not a big fan of the French but I must admit this is incredible. I like "Dream A Little A Dream Of Me", but this is better. It's both well sung and well written. My french isn't great, but I get it well enough. It's beautiful both in french and english. It's one of those few songs that translates well between languages. On the other hand, a song like "La Mer" doesn't translate as well.
Always loved this soundtrack, used to own the CD. However lately on CZcams my playlists, EVEN FULL ALBUMS, do NOT play all the songs anymore for about a year. It will play the first then possibly the second song on a playlist and then go off into whatever it wants EVEN THOUGH I PRESS “PLAY ALL”
