Today is Sunday, there's a chance you are laying around, not doing much. Getting some rest in before the start of another working week, or maybe you don't have a job?
Maybe you are looking to start into a new line of work? I would recommend bartending, it's great!
I would suggest though, if you do plan to take up bartending this week that you learn how to polish glasses.
It's a skill you'll need, well you'll need it if you want to be ay good anyway.

Hi Robert, sorry for my late reply! I would use a 100% cotton tea towel. the trick is to wash them in the washing machine before you use them, making sure that all the fluff is gone and they are super absorbant.

@@DeanCallan yeah I see if they put you right into it and no one shows you. I've work at a deli at a Kroger's and they don't really train you, you have to see and learn. lol
Yeah, polishing glassware "went out" years ago! Now it is too difficult to get staff to look after the glasswasher itself!
It's sad though! Such an impoprtant part of the job!

Hrishikesh Shetty the key is a clean dishwasher with soft water, professional glass hire/washer places use reverse osmosis so that the water feeding into the glass washer is completely clean. If you are running out of glasses to serve and you have the option of making guests wait or giving them clean but unpolished glasses I would choose to serve them ASAP. In that case I would take the hot glasses out of the washer, run them under clean cold water and wipe the outside/rim as fast as I could to get on top of service. Then pick up polishing as soon as I can.
I would also flag it to a manager, they can either give you more people to help clear glasses during a rush or buy more glasses to take the pressure off. If you do let them know, tell them what the problem is, and what you’re doing to solve it. That shows initiative, a busy manager won’t want to hear only problems. But they should be happy to hear you are working to improve thing and hopefully they can come up with an even better solve for you.
