Masakusa's parents are jerks, instead of being thankful that their two children are alive and being grateful to their son for saving his sister, they instead treated him like a surplus and his sister she's no better for siding with her parents and treats her own brother the same way, even though it's because of her that he seemed that way in the first place. These people don't deserve to be his family and share his achievements with them, they never initially cared for him and looked down on him because of his looks. It didn't help that Masakazu's parents aren't even at least apologetic after finding out he is a celebrity. Instead they angrily denied that fact to his face. And later they tried to take advantage of his popularity to gain money while simultaneously ruining his reputation as revenge for calling them strangers, even though they're the ones who disowned him in the first place just for accidentally scaring his sister.

There are 2 mayor plotholes here, there is no reason for mc to be hated especially he saved his sister to which they act like they have no memory about it and there was no reason for him to wear bandages because of which he was theoretically hated. Favorism in families is real, but this story is poorly written, it operates on strong emotions by introducing almost impossibly trashy people to divert attention from glaring plotholes. It's nice to watch those stories from from time to time, but playing on emotions with unrealistic outcomes is what they are about.
I think her parents brainwashed her after the accident. Because i know someone how extreme self blame and traumatised, sometimes they're even injured themselves out of guilt. That's why when she's saw his original face, her memory from that accident are back. And the current her is how she's self blamed when she's first her brother bandages.

They probably would have showed a flashback to that day he was injured if she was brainwashed. Her memories from the incident didn’t do anything. I suspect they trained the sister to think ill of him. Probably not intentional training... but they wrote him off and treated him as a discard, so his sister would believe that is how it is. I mean, they were young when it happened... and kids are easily trained, particularly in the bad ways.
The sister was bad, but she broke because she realized how bad she was. So I think she could be redeemed... if she gets enough back bone to escape her parents and discard their way of thinking.

I have seen that behavior before. Upon doing P.I. work, you can actually tell both the father and the mother (in real life) are usually the black sheep of their respective families. However, they were the black sheep because they were problem children to begin with, rather than having bad parents. Some people refer to them as "bad seeds" (meaning they had normal parents, normal upbringing, but they decided to turn out as scumbags)

Afterstory:
At one point, Masa told one of his actor friends (Kuroki) about the whole story. Hearing this, Kuroki got an idea. He uploaded a video that was a message to Risa. Of course the video criticized her for treating her life savior the way she did. However, he also told her that it wasn't too late to redeem herself. He said it's possible for her to mend her ways and fix her relationship with Masa. And after some convincing, Masa himself joined the video agreeing to this. Saying that as long as Risa reflects on her actions and become a better person, he was willing to forgive her and consider her his sister again.
Seeing that video made Risa burst into tears, finally realizing what she did wrong. When she turned 18, she left her parents house and decided to live on her own. Promising to redeem herself and fix her sibling relationship.
Now that’s a good ending.

After the family's deeds comes to light, whole neighborhood and relatives who knows everything about how they treated Masa terribly and they even named Risa, " ungrateful witch" because she never appreciates him when he saved her from the accident. They even refuse to help them out, and because they spoiled Risa. Eventually they now have a huge debt.
As for Risa ,because when she found out that Masa is her brother, apparently she was shocked and started mumbles," Brother, brother …." One day, when her classmate's parents were heard by the neighbours and they were gasped because Risa haven't told them about Masa.The next day, when Risa came to school, everyone scolded her.
" Risa , you never mentioned that you have a handsome brother! "
" How dare you, the reason why your brother has bandage on his face because he saved you. I saw it when Masa said in the video."

As for Masa, he was offered by Morobshi transfer him to a facility owned by Morohoshi Financial Clique. After that,he was enrolled in the Moro Star Acting School. There, he was live happily with new environment. Morohoshi and Niko even gives him free operation so that no one judging his face.
Extra: Masa's biological family on the other hand, they still live poverty and were shut ins since many neighbours gossiping non stop. Later they realized that Masa is reliable then Risa so they decided to want him back and cured Risa. So they made channel so that they made Masa suffered, but their cunning and sneaky plan was being exposed by Moroboshi. Years later, Masa became the most handsome actor in the world. He even married and had a son. One day when he was taking a walk, he saw his parents and his sister Risa are now totally shabby and beg him for forgiveness. Masa yelled, " You no longer my family, my families are my wife, my kid and her parents. When I was a kid, I saved Risa now she wants me back. No way, face your conquence." In the end, the parents out of food,water and electrics, and because of this they started blaming each other and always quarreling. Soon, they divorced. Aftermath:
Masa went to appear in a talk show about his childhood before he became a star. Masa told everyone at the talk show about his past and how he saved his sister Risa from some falling derbris and how his ex parents only made fun of him instead and brainwashed Risa to be mean to him as well, then the host asked if he ever saw Risa again and saw her in danger would he save her still. Masa said yes since she's still his sister and that he knew she was brainwashed by her parents and only wished that he could help her now without bumping into his ex parents. Risa was watching the talk show and broke out of her mental breakdown and broke down crying and apologizing to Masa and begging him to forgive her.
Risa: I'm s s so sorry Masa, p p please f f forgive me.
Risa had enough of her parents and she told them that she truly hates them and that they're the reason why they'll never live a happy life after making her hate Masa and ran away before they could react. 3 weeks later, Masa was heading to a grocery shop when he spotted a weak and hungry Risa in an alley and in a miserable state of guilt, regret, and hopelessness, Masa went to see if she's okay when she suddenly spotted him ran and hugged him while crying and apologized multiple times and begged for forgiveness for what she did. Masa told her that he already forgave her and only wished that he would've taken her with him so he can help her. Masa decided to bring Risa back home with him after getting some groceries and decided to take her to the hospital afterwards to check on her health. Soon Masa and Risa got to reconnect with eachother and became best siblings again and now live under the same roof he lives in.

I was kind of hoping the sister would repent. Go and apologize and offer to be his house keeper, in exchange for just food and shelter (live with him).
But, I guess she was a bit too shocked by realizing she had a deep crush on (biggest fan of) her own brother... and how she had been treating him.
But yeah, the parents straight away trying to figure out how to use him made them irredeemable... within the contents of the story. Perhaps one day they would repent and just accept basic food and shelter.

The sad part is, she was brainwashed by her parents. She believed she was perfect because of her greedy parents. She was conditioned from an early age. She started to believe it and it ruined her perceptions of a loving brother. That's why when she found out her brother was good looking and an actor, her mind broke. All the conditioning and reality her parents made were a lie, making her reality a lie. Also, loving the actor who turned out to be her brother was what made everything she knew about her life false. In all honesty both were victims of their parents. That's the sad part, I can't be mad at her as she was conditioned this way.

Even after she recovered, she remained a nationwide-level laughing stock. On top of that, she aged quite rapidly.
As for the parents, they started to fight, blaming each other for their outcome since they couldn't pin the blame on anyone else at this point, and the fights escalated until they became physical. At one point the fight was so violent and loud neighbors called the cops on them. Because the father hit the mother numerous times, leaving her badly wounded, he was imprisoned and now has a criminal record. They also divorced as a result. As for the mother, she moved back in with her parents, Masa's maternal grandparents. However, it turns out she never got along with them nor her brothers. She was the black sheep of the family due to causing numerous troubles to them and her brothers in the past. Things were really awkward there with her brothers and sisters coming by occasionally and giving her the cold shoulder, and to add the cherry on top, her parents sent her to live with relatives in the countryside, forcing her to work for long hours under ultra-strict supervision, not caring about her wounds (they probably saw it as an attempt to get pity points from them).
