I'm a fairly balanced guy - I had to be professionally, as a Civil Servant. I'm unusual, in that I don't usually mind who is in Government. It is the will of the people and that is clearly bigger and more informed overall than me. All of our PMs have had their good points, with the exception of Liz Truss. I'm seriously concerned about how she managed to slip through the various checks and balances that all parties have to stop people like her becoming party leader. She is unhinged, with no ability to self reflect. I wonder if she's mentally fit - and I say that sincerely. Just look at Fraser Nelson's face... what an absurd answer. I read Hugo Rifkind's "My Week - by Liz Truss" sketch in The Times today and I think he was kind to her, in that her words and actions are entirely deluded.

He's a great person to champion the UK and is very well known overseas - he has a huge force of personality, which allows him to sit alongside any world statesman as their equal. But. as I said up front he is a liar, he is untrustworthy, he is a manipulator, a womaniser, he is totally corruptible and dangerous to national security (in my opinion). But, there are my positives, for an overall negative character.

At this point I had to inform Michael that I wouldn't want to read a book like that, because it sounded depressing. I added that his sales technique was awful. And that he was low on Bodyline Brushable Joint Sealer.
She's "empowering" herself, as the kids have been conditioned to call it now. What's wrong with empowering yourself? Oh, that's right, it's in fact just artificially inflating your ego rather than actually just being a good, honest and thoughtful person who treats everyone as equals. Narcissism is actively being taught in schools and the media now. We just separate the psychology of egotism/self-obsession and only once people are adults in positions of authority and influence where their derangements are then noticed, as they do things affecting everyone's lives and livelihoods, do we suddenly decide that's narcissism and bad. Narcissism is not just the final product and the obvious parts... People seriously need to wake up and snap out of this merry go round, it's all part of the same neurotic psychology and conflict in our society.

We'd have to get a bail out from the IMF with strict condtions, such as massively raised taxes to pay for it. She's supposed to have studied economics. Why does she not understand this? It's basically like the situation Greece found itself in, in 2009. This is totally why we need the Office for Budget Responsibility to prevent insane policy decisions like this.

The thing is tho; it wasn’t completely her fault. What majority of the public don’t understand is the ldi market in pensions. The Bank of England were not doing their job!! They didn’t inform her that we had a massive issue with banks being able to claim back pension funds if they were defaulted on hence driving down gov bond prices (hence making borrowing more expensive) that was a massive failure on the bofEs part, and arguably the mini budget fiasco was made a lot worse because of this. (Not saying her policy was sane or defending her by any means, but it’s frustrating to see everyone piling the hate on her and not holding the b of E accountable for any of this)
