I have The Color Purple and I haven’t read it yet but the first copy I received was underlined and someone wrote notes in it which kind of bothered me so I have a clean copy to read now. I also watched The Color Purple movie many times and it touches my heart every time I watch it.
Oh no!! I would have a hard time reading an annotated (someone else's writing) book. I need to experience it for myself first! haha

The Color Purple is high on my TBR. I’m reading Kindred now and loving it, so I think I’ll space that one out a ways. It sounds so good though.
