    Randomly came across your channel just browsing and I've watched a few videos you've uploaded now and you are a very enthusiastic person, well informed and you put a serious amount of effort into your channel for such a small community you have built yourself. I'd like to see a video thoroughly discussing everything you have done to your car, and what you else you would like to do! I myself have the same car but in Topaz blue, I'm an enthusiast like yourself but I'm still in the learning stages, So listening to you is also educating me too!
    Keep up the good work and I hope to keep seeing content from you. Also as soon as you can, monetize your channel/videos if you haven't already as that's how videos are suggested to other viewers watching similar content to this!
    Good luck!👊

      Thanks very much. Love your feedback and comments, it means a lot that you enjoy what I put together. I am planning a review video in the next few weeks to recap my first year on You Tube, and I will certainly give a more thorough outline of what I have done, and what I have planned. Thank you.

    your video really helped on what suspension components i need to upgrade in my car, however i have solid poly bushing for the engine mounts, transmission and diff but not the rear subframe mounts(will be next on the list) have all m3 tie rods and poly bushing as well
    the biggest thing i noticed was when you change to poly bushings, you really feel connected with the road especially the read diff bushings

    I must say as a car dyi , it’s really good to have thoughtful correspondence about both essential maintenance and improvements
    For the E46. I have always serviced my cars , and always in need of education and sound advice.

    Man, i absolutly love ur content, your 325ci must be awesome to drive, a real M3 killer. To be honest i’m watching all of your videos right now and you can be sure that the E46 i’ll buy very soon will be inspired of your work. I mean wow your chassis must be awesome to drive and too much people forget about this and prefer to mod their engine, wheels etc, but chassis is so important.
    Be sure my near future 325ci or 330ci if my bank let me 😜, gonna be clean like yours. What a pleasure
    Keep it up 👍

    to clear some things up. cup kits are not bad by any means. red h&r springs matched with bilstein b8s and vorslag plates will outpeform coilovers twice the price just as your h&r twintube. putting spherical joints on all suspension components is a bad idea in a road car. the bad roads will kill it very fast. You also forgot one of the most important mods. when the front macpherson suspension is lowered too much your lower control arms no longer sit straight and it moves you roll centre way higher up incrasing body roll. this requires a correction kit. this is also the reason e46's without them run huge negatve front camber with huge front swaybars (we talking -3.5 degress and 30-40mm bars)

    • @Sixty4motorsport
      @Sixty4motorsport  Před 3 lety +2

      Gidday, thanks for the feedback. I don't believe that I suggested that Cup Kits were a bad decision, rather the use of a coil over allows more flexibility in setting the ride height, like in my build where I want a lowered stance, but a bit higher than the fixed height that the range of cup kits offer. Also, I am not installing spherical bearings on all the suspension components, only on the front control arms. I believe I do mention the use of solid bearings is only for Track applications. All others bearings on my build are either Polyurethane or M3 spec rubber bushes. You are very correct in relation to the suspension geometry, but as you are no doubt aware, the suspension is an extremely detailed aspect of your car, and to cover off on every aspect of the suspension would require hours, so I have tried to provide a basic, general starting point for those people who wish to start improving the overall performance of their BMW within a time frame that suits the average CZcams viewer (25 -20 minutes). It is always difficult when editing the videos to decide what should be said and what can be omitted, because I am very much aware that when you start modifying your car to an extreme level, ( such as drastically lowering the ride height), that there is a flow on effect which will require additional upgrades and modifications. I really do appreciate your comments, because this kind of feedback will be valuable to other E46 owners who do wish to take their E46 suspension to an even higher level of performance. Michael Taylor.

    very tasteful mods. will be doing the m3 rubber bushings and shims on my daily e46. my e36 however I've done solid subframe bushings and poly everything else. it certainly does have a very tight suspension and makes for a very fun time around corners and even the nvh and vibration in the cab add to the experience, still not something id want to drive as my primary vehicle tho. also on the e36 i run an m3 rear sway bar and retained the front 328i front sway bar but used the m3 style upper sway bar mounts as the 328i sway bar is actually thicker than the stock m3 sway bar but it has less leverage with the stock 328i control arm mounts where as the strut mounted end links have more leverage. also did poly sway bar bushings, and Bilstein adjustable coilovers/shocks, and an adjustable rear camber arms.

    Great video as usual: I have a 2003 330CI w 200k miles I’m restoring for sons first ride. Been focused on engine thus far and basics but can you help identify bang for buck? Assume struts need replaced, and bushings.. but unsure I can do it myself. Trying to target more OEM or even pick a part for many components if I find good ones and not necessarily upgrading aftermarket but on the bushings I would after watching your stuff

      No I haven't. When I removed the Diff and carrier I cleaned down the entire area and checked it out and it's fine. That said, it is a job that I have planned for next year before I do additional horsepower mods. Thanks Michael.

    Hello to u, was u concerned when putting sway bar upgrade because I've heard they can rip out the fixing ? As I'm writing this I realised Turner Motorsport do test some of v parts they sell, also I think they design some parts or at least come up with new ideas for parts. I'd like to know how u r getting on with ur suspension because my E46 330ci is 2006 model & still got original suspension it's only done 92,000 saying that it's still a lot of miles on one set of shocks. All v best to u like ur video the best from what I've seen. Look forward to hearing how ur suspension handles. Victor O'Gorman United Kingdom.

    • @Sixty4motorsport
      @Sixty4motorsport  Před 3 lety +1

      Great Question. Sure do, the shocks (or 'Shockies' as we call them), will need to be replaced or repaired. Depending on the quality I would have them checked at least every 100,000 kilometers. (I think that's about 80 thou. miles). Just because they may be of better quality than OEM doesn't mean they're indestructible and won't wear out.
