As I understood, abhivandya pithaavu qualified the Jacobite / orthodox as 'puthen koottu kaar', which also means Catholic church as 'pazhaya koottu kaar'.
The churches including Jacobite / Orthodox, Marthoma etc. of India claim to be the successors of St. Thomas, India's Apostle, who made them christians, from 1st century, (with Syrian connection from 5th century or so). The Catholic Church came to India in 15th century along with the arrival of Portuguese (Vasco De Gama in 1498). The division took place in 1653 with 'koonan kurish sathyam'.
I have a doubt - this way who is the real 'pazhaya koottu kaar' / 'puthen koottu kaar'.
Anyone can clarify.

കൊല്ലം മെത്രാന്റെ അരമനയിൽ വന്നാൽ, മാർ ഇവാനിയോസിനെ സ്വിറ്റ്സർലൻഡ്കാരൻ ആയിരുന്ന അന്നത്തെ കൊല്ലം മെത്രാൻ ബിഷപ്പ് അലോഷ്യസ് മരിയ ബെൻസിഗർ കത്തോലിക്കനായി ബാപ്റ്റയിസ് ചെയ്ത കുരിശടി ഇപ്പോഴും അതേപടി നിലനിർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത് താങ്കൾക്ക് കാണാൻ സാധിക്കും.

Shajan, the interview was all fine on history of the sabha and the concern for the deprived and the wasteful expenditures of the current church building, renovation and the like, but you missed a point to ask, why did a bishop and a couple of priests of the church got arrested in Ambasamudram in Tamilnadu for illegally mining river sand from the church's land, worth more than ₹100 crores, violating all environment laws of the land. Wasn't it sheer dacoity in the common parlance, destroying the natural resources of the land for making profit, just like collecting capitation fees and making money over appointments of teachers and lecturers in their schools and colleges? Where is Christ in all these transactions whom the Bishop upholds or they do it cleverly in the name of Christ to sustain a corrupt system since Caiaphas 2000 years ago? Why should he lament the migration of the younger generation fed up with asking these questions from the so called shepherds of the church. These are the happenings in all the churches irrespective of denominations, and the intensity of it keeps increasing as time passes on.

There is no need to be implemented from a top authority conerning simplicity .Read the bible carefully also the activities of disciples mentioned in the Acts of Apostles; no churches , no priests and there was sharing. But for that , promote Bible reading rather than prohibiting it like the past.

മനുഷ്യന്‍ ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം മരിക്കണം; അതിനുശേഷം വിധി എന്ന് നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അതുപോലെതന്നെ മ്ശിഹായും വളരെപ്പേരുടെ പാപങ്ങള്‍ ഉന്മൂലനംചെയ്യുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം അര്‍പ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അവന്‍ വീണ്ടും വരും-പാപപരിഹാരാര്‍ത്ഥമല്ല, തന്നെ ആകാംക്ഷാപൂര്‍വ്വം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ രക്ഷയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി"(ഹെബ്രാ: 9; 27, 28).
