P.S. I felt the same way about myself at age 21, 22, I can totally relate. Little did I know that I was at the prime of my life. I wish I wasn't so hard on myself back then. Dating and having fun at that age was amazing! You were beautiful back then AND NOW too, I love your hair and coloring now, as you've evolved your hair style has too. Pam = a "looker" back then and now :)
Isn't that the case? When I look back at old pictures of myself, I am blown away, but I certainly didn't feel that way at the time they were taken. Love you, Miss Pamela!
I could listen to your stories forever
I love it, I can't get enough! I appreciate and love Frank Zappa. He was so intelligent about what was going on in our country, in many ways. I never knew that until I got older and watched him back. What he says still holds true today. Thank you for sharing your life with us Ms Pam, it's so fun!! xo
❤Flo and Eddie! They could sing from a random page out of the telephone book and make it sound fantastic.
Miss Pamela is the best!
Saw this in the theatre when it came out. 6 people in the audience. After, I remember thinking "Where was the girl in the poster?"
You were a looker back then and you still are!😍😍😍
POSTERS! A KEY! I remember the albums from the 1970s that came with stuff. Cool. Thanks for sharing.
I came across 200 Motels randomly about 10 yrs ago, while I happened to be on a few hits of LSD. I had no idea what I was watching, but I loved every minute of it. Haha, Cheers Pamela! Thanks for the memories 😊
Love that movie AND the album. I enjoyed re-viewing it & listening to you speak in Austin a few years back. ❤
I'm currently watching the movie right new, really good soundtrack
And I also just ordered the only version of a token of his extreme on vinyl
Awesome; you are so kind to share! oxox
The best rock film ever made imho. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen it. You were great too! Thank you for sharing your stories! What a treat! ❤
Just binge-watched all your videos! I wish they would re-release the film on DVD.
Rad.... Always remember Lucky White (the original man in black of the 1940's) and his Dude Ranch Playboys not only influenced Elvis, he inspired Zappa too... Giggity. 🤣
Seen 200 Motels many times. I love the 200 Motels album too. I can just imagine what it would be like working with Frank Zappa!
Miss P! my Wonderful Girlfriend at The Time Wendy Woodworth and I Drove From Las Vegas To Westwood For The premier! maybe you were even there? We love the movie and I’ve always owned the soundtrack. the songs not only are wonderful and funny but I actually believe this is one of the only true rock opera’s
because there’s rock songs and operatic songs
and of course Frank’s incredible composing
what a magical time that was
thanks for sharing

I saw that movie many times (including when it was first released), had the double album and remember you well! I thought I knew everything about Frank Zappa, but was very moved by his support for and sensitity to you. Thanks for your part!
I have read all your books (need to find this one, though), and I am now a sub!
Thank you for this!
I love this so much!!
This is awesome! Tks for sharing
Thank you doing this Pamela! Love it!
Ty for sharing some of the history for this film Miss Pamela
One of the greatest films of all time. I wish it made the top of the new Sight and Sound list of the best 100 films ever made.
Great presentation! Really fun! I bought it!
Its funny she has those Lady and the Tramp heads on her wall.
Ha ha ... I noticed that too --- Pamela has A LOT of stuff, I can only imagine what some of her collections look like - acquired over decades! 🤩
Good morning Pam ! ❤❤❤🎸✌👋
my male friend dated the male road manager of alice cooper, he took us to franks log cabin, but we were on acid, remember very little....
It was released in late (Oct) 1971, not 1970,
and was filmed in late January early February 1971 (not 1970).
What an experience!!!! This movie has been on my bucket list! Does this box set that you have come with a way to watch it? And where can one buy it?
I love the DVD , it reminds me Fredrico Fellini meets the Monkees .
You are gorgeous in the centre fold book picture 🤗 🇬🇧
Seems like more info coming out about Frank every day. I auditioned for him and am still looking for the mysterious tapes in the Zappa Collection with my name on them. Thanks.
Can you do a video on something spiritual or how to get into spirituality? I love hearing you talk about that aspect of life and I need guidance in starting a journey on spirituality :)
Hi Miss Pamela! Love your insights and life stories!!! Nice to see you here! You might be interested in this video, especially the music: czcams.com/video/r2yp6Stv4uo/video.html
You should make a video about Lori or with Lori talking about Led Zeppelin
Yeah, older dudes and the F-word. I had one long-time older boyfriend who felt a woman using it was too arousing for any guys to hear and he couldn't handle me using it. Ludicrous as it was, he held this viewpoint--- and used the word constantly himself. My next long-term boyfriend had no problem with it, no hangups, but he's only 7 years older, rather than 17 years older. Perhaps the crucial difference, among many... but the first guy was a crazy genius, and I adored that--- until I didn't. What can I say. My baby boomer boyfriend? He is cranky without his weed, but I love him. So there you are...the wonder of it all, who we choose.---Thanks for the cool commentary on your experience with making the movie. Appreciated

It's a bit like watching rowan and Martin today,a lot of it is ......of its time..
U R a trip! I like you,I would say you were more like a Muse then a Groupie but what ever floats your boat! ( just rapped up I am With The Band good shit Maynard )or if you don’t have a boat, then what ever works! If you don’t work then…ok enough of that shit! Have a Bitchen with a B day, evening, night and morning! Then repeat that over and over.Stay smiling!
Nobody's fault but mine, if I say something wrong to you miss Pamela Des Barres, you know I won't, I became a secure mean, I'm sure in my conscience, now I have never seen the movie, so where is it playing, like in the basement under the Arabella hotel in Munich?! Sorry, only joking!
5:04 "Harold!" Wilfred brambell was notorious in real life for being a prude and a bit stuck up...and gay, which he tried desperately to keep under wraps. Not suprised he ran off..
seen over 50 times always tripping doesn't get old , its a rancid boutique
You are not really here are you just easdropping I never met you but Utube has destroyed the connections I had in your life
The clout chasing never stops.
