A little know fact behind the jumpsuits - Couple of the early reasons they went to them was because Elvis had had his clothes torn off in the past and some of Elvis' large heavy belts would pull down on his pants so they went to jumpsuits, but then Elvis' manager realized what a great look it was on stage to showcase Elvis' trim physique and good looks, it all just went from there.until one of the best jumpsuits Elvis every wore in the worldwide satellite Aloha Hawaii concert.

Elvis started wearing jumpsuits in January/February 1970, the larger sideburns were a 70’s thing he stared growing his bigger in 1969. The jumpsuits started out rather simple in the beginning but would get more elaborate as the 1970’s progressed, they worked well for his stage act. Had Elvis lived into the 1980’s I’m sure he would have evolved his style just like he did in the 50’s and 60’s. You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling is a great song performed by Elvis.

We givin the love and we’re getting the love! Can’t beat that! LOL! There’s so many different sides to Presley he mastered each of the ingredients of rock ‘n’ roll gospel rhythm and blues and country music. His form of rock ‘n’ roll was grassroots it included all the elements. He was even bigger than Michael Jackson if you could believe it because no one had ever seen an international music superstar before he really was the first one. What’s important to understand is he was a youth movement and he was popular among all the races and religions of people specifically in the young demographic. That’s what a lot of people today don’t understand even though the movie has come along way to try to explain it. Elvis was a rebel youth movement and he was one brave soul who affected real change.

I took my wife to visit Elvis' home in Memphis back in the 80s'. They have several of his jumpsuits on display there including the one he wore during the "Live From Hawaii" concert. I was really surprised to see how thin the material was because it looks pretty thick on screen. They explained that it helped Elvis keep cool during the performance. I can see that now! So, there was a purpose to the jumpsuit, not just a style.

Might want to copy and paste ...... Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs ..... Did 31 Movies ..... Did 2 Documentaries ..... Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies alone ..... Who knows how many in the 50's and 60's }} ..... PLUS .... On August 31, 1957, Elvis, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, D.J. Fontana and the Jordanaires went to Vancouver by train to perform at Empire Stadium. It was the second stop of a tour of the Northwest that had started the day before in Spokane. By this time Elvis had recorded eight No. 1 singles in two years, had made three movies and was about to release 'Jailhouse Rock' as his latest single. Having performed in Toronto and Ottawa in April, this was only the third time they ever performed outside of the U.S. and for Elvis it would be the last. Vancouver's first rock-and-roll show had taken place barely a year before, when Bill Haley and the Comets drew 6,000 people to the Kerrisdale Arena. Now Elvis had drawn a crowd over four times larger. The 26,500 fans in attendance went wild for the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The stage was set up on the empty football field Elvis did it all ..... And he did them better than ..... ANYONE ELSE COULD ..... ANYONE ..... PERIOD .....
P.S The new movie will be something ...... For the new generation to latch onto ...... I feel sorry for them as if they think this guys good ..... They should have seen the real Elvis ..... As I did ..... Hopefully after sometime ...... And they might see the real Elvis ..... They will see No-one can be Elvis ...... But Elvis ...... No actor in the world can do him justice ..... Can't be done ..... Elvis was sent with a purpose from heaven to mankind ...... He cannot be duplicated by common man ..... So once they learn more about what and who Elvis Aron Presley truly was ..... They'll see just what a truly God given talent he and only he was ..... Cause once they know the real Elvis ..... Their eyes will truly be opened ..... No Brag ..... Just Fact ..... BIG N .....

He started really getting creative with the jumpsuit’s because they were made like Karate gees but the pants would slip down or rip so he went with the jumpsuit idea and really started getting creative from IC Costumes in I believe California or New York but I believe California they started putting jewels and naming them for instance the tiger jumpsuit was a tiger because his Karate master gave him the nickname Tiger . Those suits started around 1972/ 73 the Aloha from Hawaii suit was done with the eagle because it was the first time a concert or anything had been done all over the world what we call today pay per view. But his Vegas suits to me were the best ones the 1977 concert in Arizona that you are referring to in this video was the Sun Dial jumpsuit, he had one called the Burning Love costume, all kinds Elvis to this day is still the greatest natural performer of all time who by the way still holds the record for the most sell out concerts in Vegas, and top 3 in Madison Square Garden where he was number 1 for years and years until I believe WWE Wrestle Mania which was then WWF.

People (45 years after he's gone) still call Elvis King of Rock'n roll, but he did not like that, he considerd that the only King was God, but I consider him to be the King of Music, but what do you think, is he good enough to be called a Music King?
Here are some of his Gospel songs:
Amazing Graze, Take me home precisous Lord, How great though art, You'll never walk alone, You gave me a mountin, Crying in the chapel, Why me Lord (written by Kris Kristofferson), Unchained melody, I'm not sure if it's a gospel song but Walk a mile in my shoes and many more...
    .
If you prefer ballad songs then look at these:
My Way, Suspicius minds, In the Ghetto (written by Mac Davies), Memories (written by Mac Davies), If I can dream that is a tribute (parts of it is taken directly from the I can dream speach by MLK) to Martin Luther King JR and senator Robert Kennedy, What now my love, Walk a mile in my shoes (listen to the words in the beginning), Make The World Go Away, Bridge Over Troubled Water, An American Thrillergy, Hurt, Sweet Caroline, Just Pretend, What now my love, Are you lonesome tonight (laughing versin, or not), Oh Danny Boy (for you Irish people) remember that he sang over 700 songs...
There are some videos of when Elvis joking and messing up, he loved to joke around and pretend that he did not have control, but he had total control, he acctually conducted his musicans and back up choirs all the time !!
He is the only person to have 2 records gone to sell Gold and 2 to to sell Platinum since he died.
Elvis is also in almost every genre of Music Hall of Fame (5 that I'm sure of), no one else is in more then perhaps 2.
Not bad for someone who never took a single singing lesson, yes he sang in church so perhaps he learned a little there, right?
    .
Something else that people tend to overlook:
He always conducts his musicans and backup singers, he never gets credit for being able to do that...
Then imagen you are a singer, you have great musicans, you have great backup singers, no Guest Artists, no Autotune, no Lipsinging and no Fireworks, now all is about your skill, could you handle that pressure?
That is what Elvis did in over 1000 concerts, despite having problems with his health, like his Glaucoma, the headlights must have hurt his eyes like crazy...
He sang over 700 songs, I wonder how he could remember them all, he never vrote a song himself, so he had to remember other peoples songs, well that in it self is amazing in it self...
By the way he had Glucomea and that must have been difficult being in the headlights all the time, that could be why he sometimes closes his eyes, but also sometimes squinting !!
Elvis suits was made of 100% Polyester, or 100 cotton (I'm not sure witch one), it was originally a karate suit, it was very light, but it was hot, so it made him sweat a lot, he got some bad press about that, but if you give it all then you will sweat, it should be positive, right?
About the deep basevoice JD Sumner (a member of The Stamps Quartet) is the Basso Profundo, I think that it's called that, it is the deepest base singer there is...
About him helping others, look at this: czcams.com/video/CrJ1c9tm-C0/video.html
Elvis made a show where all the money went to build the Memorial after Pearl Harbour, He talked to the nations about taking the Poliovaccin, Elvis took the first injection himself and he helped to start St Jude hospital against cancer, he also gave away juwelery, gave away cars, gave away houses to total strangers...
He also have a own organisation that helps people get out of Homelessness...
A thing that perhaps you did not know: Elvis NEVER had a show OUTSIDE OF USA, NOT EVEN 1 !!!

Elvis didn't have to try to be cool. That's what separated him from other performers. What lines from this Billy Joe White tune "Polk Salad Annie" : "gator got your granny, meaning she was eaten by an alligator and worked on a chain gang which is what the prisoners did back then. Vicious.

lets not forget Elvis also had his fair share of controversies, from the musician's embrace of the holy trifecta of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll and, especially, his dating a 14-year-old. It has been claimed that he frequently pursued underage women while on tour. He also suffered from insomnia which was an influence in him becoming addicted to amphetamines.
