Sub6 was a goal of mine for a long time, but I can't believe I've reached it on my first comp of 2024! I expected to struggle a lot more and have to get close to sub6 global before pulling it off officially, but here I am at 6.5 global with a 5.87 PB ao12. That being said, it was done on a ridiculous set of scrambles in my favorite comp setting (head to head finals), and I still have a lot to improve on, especially turning-wise. EDIT: the WRC approved the result!
Regarding the last solve's reaction: I accidentally hit the cube with my hand after stopping the timer. In some circumstances, it would result in a +2 penalty (giving me a 6.14 average instead). In that case, it was completely accidental (I only realized I did that upon seeing the footage), and the judge's immediate clapping signals his approval of the solved state of the cube. Therefore, the delegates of the competition have agreed that the result shall remain as it is. However, until the WRC approves of that decision, there is still a risk that the result may be changed afterwards, so I will give you updates when I know more about it.
The cube was completely on the table when you stopped the timer. It would be VERY harsh if the WRC decided to not give you the 5.81.
Well it's already after the solve and the cube was solve and didn't move for a great while it will be rigged if that give the +2 but still congratulations🎉🎉
A6e2) Penalty for touching the puzzle after stopping the timer without applying any moves: time penalty (+2 seconds). Exception: if immediately after stopping the timer, the competitor briefly touches the puzzle without affecting its state, the time penalty may be lifted, at the discretion of the judge (see Regulation 11f).
Since the judge clearly approves of the solve, this result shall stand.

@@JujuSeb444 the cube was clearly solved in the footage and only touched many many seconds afterwards, so there should never be any penalty at all
