- Today I'll be flying from London Heathrow to Singapore Changi Airport on British Airway's A380 in Economy!
Check out my BA business class trip from London to Dubai on the NEW B777 - • The NEW British Airway...
I paid the cash fare of £775 for this flight - which included the £35 each way seat selection. The business class fares ONE WAY started at around £3000 and premium economy around £1200
I really enjoy making these kind of videos and if you too have enjoyed watching, please make sure to like the video and subscribe to my channel to be kept up to date with all new uploads (which are slowly becoming more frequent!)

Hi Ike. Another excellent video by the dream team. Well made and excellently narrated. Aviation is my passion, so i'm always interested on other people's views. I've done the A380 also, but only a short trip in economy LHR - Frankfurt and back. Keep em coming!
Nice video! I usually fly Singapore airlines on this route as I try to avoid terminal 5 lol! But if the prices are ok, BA is a good option!
Thank you! I definitely have to try out Singapore Airlines when I next fly to Singapore
You know Qantas airways flys direct flow Heathrow to changi
omg I'm loving the cabin crew that greeted you at the door. so nice, friendly and clear in his instructions.
Watched this as due to take this flight (BA011) in a couple of weeks, also in economy. Travelling as a couple so have taken a double (window/aisle) upstairs, which cost us about £70 extra per seat. Worth it I think to be in a pair (I also like a window, and my partner likes an aisle, so it works for us), and also to get the extra storage (under the window) that you get on the A380. By the way, the 380's are due quite a big re-furb, but not till next year (part of BA's "Better World" strategy)
Great video, especially the ratings and summarised review at the end. Can we expect to see any other airline's economy reviews soon?
Thank you very much - I have KLM, Etihad, BA and a few others down the pipeline for this year.
Thanks for sharing. We flew Tokyo to London (14hrs 45 flight) on BA and it was so uncomfortable - not helped but our screens not working after 5 hours, either. We now only fly premium economy on flights over 9hrs but you are right to consider paying for the extra space seats, if economy is the only option.
Wow 14hrs 45 is indeed long.. Premium eco all the way for the long haul flights, it's just a shame the price jump is ridiculous from eco. If I can't find a reasonable fair in premium economy next time i'd simply pay for the extra leg room seats OR for the less popular flying routes try and upgrade with cash or points into premium! Thanks for watching !
Flying this route next week, but on the Boeing 789 (no upper deck 😭)...not sure if they'll allow me to upgrade to premium since I booked the flight using a companion voucher!
this video is so good, underrated
Thanks!
Just to clarify, Heathrow Airport has NOT scrapped the 100ml rule on liquids in carry on bags. I flew with SAS from Terminal 2 recently, there are still restrictions on liquids in hand luggage.
In my experience it often works out cheaper to fly from Heathrow to Germany and then on to Singapore than it is to fly from Heathrow to Singapore direct.
Oh really? I’ll definitely have to check that out. I’ve recently seen some flights offered by Finnair (or maybe it was Norse) flying from Oslo to Thailand for some crazy cheap return fares around £300 or something
Or you should try Singapore airlines
Wasn’t I inside there
Hi ike are you coming to Malaysia 🇲🇾 again this year
Hi ike when is your next trip report
Was the plane fully loaded thus delaying any service you were expecting or did it seem undermanned?
It was at full capacity so possibly part of the reason - For the upper deck economy, I recall there being around 3 or 4 FA's throughout the flight but as they were also serving Premium Economy understandably their time was limited.
Hi ike have you been to Thailand 🇹🇭
You Sound like the richest person:
We Fly economy this time, not Business. So it is the regular line for us today
Thanks for watching! Flying economy has it's own charm and is the standard for probably 90% of flyers! Anything more than economy is simply a bonus
