Sunidhi is jack of all trade. She doesn't get that much recognition. She is a powerhouse. Shreya is more to the softer side of singing. Love them both, but bollywood did not give that much chance to sunidhi.
Shreya is just as powerful just because her voice is high pitched doesn't mean she's on softer side. Technique wise shreya is best

Sunidhi has a more powerful voice but Shreya is amazing too (she has a sweeter voice). Bollywood gave justice to Shreya Goshal's talent but didn't really utilise Sunidhi (this is a personal opinion)

Sunidhi brought a revolution in Bollywood music.When she arrived her style of singing was not needed. Every female singer had to sound like the great Lata Mangeshkar, sweet, feminine and classical. She was rejected for her voice by music composers. Everything changed in 1999 with Mast and Bollywood has never been the same. Sunidhi created her own School of singing where she blends Western with Indian classical. She isn't even a trained singer. A genius.

If u think she can sing only slow & sad songs , u should go & listen to her songs like Chikni Chameli, Jhallah Wallah, Balma, Mashallah, Drama Queen, Ahiq Surrender Hua, Kar Har Maidan Fateh, Slow Motion etc . Besides, she sings in 18+ languages ❄️.

She is a legendary singer and can definitely sing various kinds of songs. No one compares to her. But calling her versatile doesn't sound right to me.

Sometimes I feel so bad for sunidhi. She's truly a legend. But Bollywood doesn't really care about her anymore. She was sooo huge till a few years back. Shreya's voice is sweet and sunidhi's voice is full of power. They both are one of the best singers India has ever produced.

Sunidhi has unique intonation and formidable technique. She can hold her own with Shreya under many circumstances. What you throw into the basket of the word “control,” a jazz fan/musician would say swing, Sunidhi doesn’t take flight like Shreya does. I’m not sure you can ever learn how to do that through practice. Although she sounds nothing like her, I’ve thought of Sunidhi in the same vein as Jo Stafford, the leading female pop singer of the 1940s here in the US. One singer who does swing like crazy is Sujatha Mohan, a Tollywood stalwart who works with AR Rahman a lot.

More than flawless technique that both have Sunidhi is extremely emotive and creative. She brings a new flavour everytime she sings. Also she is EXTREMELY versatile and her voice is also very bright. You need to check more of her songs. Aisa Jadoo Dala re, Bhage re mann Kahi, kaisi paheli zindagani, Beedi. She has sung all the Iconic Bollywood numbers.

You are still very unfamiliar with Sunidhi. She can basically do it all. This isn't even scratching the surface. With most singer if you have heard one song you know how they sing but Sunidhi sings each song differently.

I'd say Shreya is angelic, it's like she's breathing life into you with her calm & comforting motherly demeanor.
On the other hand, Sunidhi is manifestation of pure destruction, not only in her voice but in her stage presence as well. She captivates & assert her dominance with those powerful vocals.
Both of them are phenomenal in their own right & we're blessed that we can enjoy their talent in our lifetime
