I was searching you tube for black love poetry. I haven't been inspired but my soul needed to hear how a Black Man felt in his rarest truth, WHAT A BLESSING TO MY SOUL when I came across Brandon 🙏 I am basking in his talent!

Thank u for intentionally acknowledging what we can't even articulate how and why we love the way we love...and make shit happen❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

As I like to say, art doesn't have to be pretty to everyone. The people who understand is the people it's meant for. Edify. There's nothing wrong with simply saying, "Black Man, that was good." It's never a compliment when it's followed by a But.

Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was crying 2 minutes into, you have definitely encouraged me today. I felt you, you explained it better than I ever could. Geesh, What do we do in a society of freedom, multitude and ignorance now a days? (To Love and not be loved.)
But now when they ask what do I (women) have to offer… I couldn’t say it any better. ⬆️⬆️⬆️ Thank You.

Thank you for the acknowledgement. However, what is the Black man doing for the Black woman? How are these acts of love being reciprocated?

    Great poem.
It's nice to be recognized but the disappointment bw endure and "fixer" mentality he talks about actually make my skin crawl. Some women are enabling & maybe worsening the status quo by settling.

I respect the art and the poet. But the message??? Nahhhh...it's giving very much glorification of struggle love. And black women need to start emancipating ourselves from that 'ride or die, I got you even if you don't got me, I love you even if you don't love me or yourself' mentality. And this poem is recognising the messed up and toxic way black women love black men but it's also hyping it up. As it that should be the norm. Will it ever be a black woman's turn to be taken care of and loved to a fault?

Definitely agreed. "The message" that is all it was. There was no glorification. It was said as it is, now what one does with that message and how they interpret it is solely up to them. If one says, "it's hot outside" they aren't complaining nor praising, they are simply stating their observation.

While it's true in some aspects but another perspective is that he's displaying the strength we have. Not necessarily saying our presence is to struggle but to show we are powerful enough to love beyond limitations. & we do love immeasurably.

She fit in box begrudgingly. And you still don’t know she don’t want to be in there…but she be in there. She be she in there. She meet you in there cause that’s where you be…SHE DON’T WANNA LOVE YOU THAT WAY!!!🫰🏾🔥🫰🏾🔥
