I love the way you put your hand up to answer "office". Just like back in school :)
aw.... you look so cute!!!! I wasn't even born when this was shown! But I love it! I've seen it on Challenge! It's amazing!
I believe that I say at this point:
'Yes, baby'
R.i.p bob,forgot what a great show that was
That Bob's a sly fox at the end.
I guess when it comes to popular quiz shows in the UK, this one was probably that one. In the US, Blockbusters only lasted from 1980-1982, and returned only briefly in 1987. The longest running quiz show in America is Jeopardy, where its current run has been going strong since 1984.
i loved this prog whilst i was at school and college :)
birdy100: It was recorded in Aug/Sept 1986. Transmitted in early 1987 I believe.
Wow. I can't recall any other contestant winning a round in under two minutes on either the U.S. or U.K. versions. First time for me, though!
And doesn't Bob Holness look a bit like Bill Cullen?
Oh so you are Aidan Simmington? Good to meet you
It's AUSTIN POWERS!
I thought with this being a very old episode, it used the old font with the weird looking 'K'.
What did you spend the money on man ? :) . I loved this show and am so jealous of anyone who ever got on it . My favourite part of Blockbusters though was when anyone decided to not try and get blockbusters but to maybe try and make an extra 5 or 10 pound and Bob would get really annoyed...lol
2:47 is BLOCKBUSTERS !!
i do hope you got some style since being on blockbusters lol well done thou...so what did life bring you after the show??
I will try and encode the rest of the episode on Wednesday :)
it's up now :)
So you want to be Prime Minster? How tall are you? Awesome school of thought from Bob. Good work buddy - you did well.
Thanks. If I'd known they would allow my wife to post here, I would have disabled comments!
You didn't make prime minister, then.
Good vid!
Were you ever in The Zombies? ;)
@precinct that's no way to talk of Bob Holness.
Hey bungalowlegs. I guess he would rather be bullied than universally hated, which I've no doubt you are.
This is a great clip of when you were a contestant on ITV's Blockbusters with the great, Bob Holness reverendsl Did you have a great time on the show?
did you make it to prime minister in the end?
why did the teacher call both her sons ed?
@reverendsl , r.i.p. bob
What year is this from?
so you didnt end up as primeminister so what job did you end up doing
Since when is "frisk" slang?
Look at your hair dude.
@reverendsl can i have a p please bob
I love the way you put your hand up to answer "office". Just like back in school :)
Bob was a really genuine, down to earth nice bloke. I have been on a couple of game shows with different hosts, and Bob was easily the nicest. He took time to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated
