There are plenty of local markets for your to explore when you’re in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, but one of the relaxed markets, that quite small and friendly, is Tuol Tom Poung Market, also commonly known as Russian Market. The market is local, small, and manageable, and it’s a great place to get a taste of Phnom Penh and try some delicious local food.
It was a rainy afternoon on the day I went to Russian Market, and we first stopped outside the market to eat some crepe like snacks, filled with creme and coconut. It’s one of those Cambodian street food snacks that so much fun to watch being made. Price - 500 KHR ($0.12) per piece
Most of the street food stalls are open in the morning and for lunch, so I was there a little late, but there were still a few stalls open. We had some fried spring rolls and fresh summer rolls as well as an amazing green papaya, herb filled salad, which was delicious. The best thing was the salad, and the environment of eating at Russian Market is always fun as well. Total price - $6 USD total (you can use US$ in Cambodia).
Finally, one of the top reasons I wanted to eat at Russian Market was for the seafood restaurant at night, which sets up in the motorbike parking lot at about 6 pm each evening. We ordered a fish cooked in foil, clams, and oysters, all cooked over an extremely hot charcoal fire. The food was overall good, and I liked the atmosphere a lot. Total price for seafood - 39,000 KHR ($9.40).
When you’re in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Russian Market is a fantastic place to eat!

It is sad when I see average or below average Vlogs having multi million followers and Mark Wiens is yet to hit a million..If quality was the only measure to judge a vlog, Mark's vlog is right up there with professional TV channels...this guy is a rock star of the food world!! Much respect!

Her English is limited. It's just nice to see her, Micah and Mark together. I am sure that if she had any interest in not being behind the scenes, she would have done so years ago. With all due respect to Ying's wishes, I think it would be amazing if you did a reveal type video with Ying, I don't think you've done one yet. Maybe a 10-minute viewers most asked questions, which food she enjoyed the most, the ups and downs of travel, etc. There is some potential here for some great content. You have to understand that after watching your awesome family for a long while, she has the sort of wizard-behind-the-curtains aspect that we've never gotten to see.
Ying is a real life Wonder Woman! She's a multitasker. Two thumbs up to her 👍👍!

Mark is one of the few people in the world who I can honestly say genuinely loves food as much as I do. I really Miss this market so much memories my year almost fall down seeing my life back then it’s just like yesterday so much freedom with my husband especially when it’s rain it’s nice . i came to the state around 2 years I watch over again n again I usually buy some cloth n eat food wit my family i favorite food was Cambodian crepes and seafood at the evening I shop around this market regularly it’s not far from my home just cross a bridge. U are awesome keep watching everything u post 😊🤝
