If the cars locked with the SOE deployed, the slightest touch will make it rapidly spring back inside the car. It's pretty fun actually.

Depending on what model and year you have, not everyone has the newer models. I think even the newer ones only have it on certain models, might be wrong on that not too sure.

Its on all of them but its not for what you think. Everyone think its to prevent it from being stolen, but its to retract if you drive over a pedestrian, required by law. Once its pushed and tilted a certain amount, it retracts. Thats also why mercedes emblem can be folded down.

So the guy in the 2nd video has the rolls Royce turned on. Hard to hear/see the car being on because of the wind/RR engines being soo quiet. That being said, when the car is running the mechanism locks in place in order to keep the spirit locked and out. When the car is locked and off, the spirit stays out, but the mechanism that locks it disengages and the thing that prevents it from being stolen kicks in to play. Also, first video. That RR is in a type of "service mode". Clearly not called that but that's how they are able to do literally anything to the car.

lol, and in both videos, they deactivated the safety system feature that makes the SoE retract as soon as it’s touched. The system is designed to retract in case you run over a pedestrian, so they can’t be injured by its sharp edges but can be deactivated so it can be cleaned properly

There is a clutch pin where you have to pop the hood first to get to.
Alternatively you can have the thing where if it's moved a knife will deploy.
Theres a locking screw that secures it down. Remove that screw and u can twist to remove it fully
I know someone who works at Goodwood where the RRs are made and he told me its true you just have to be brave enough to turn it because when you install it in der Factory the Spirit of ecstasy clips in at the end to of course prevent it from falling off so the only way to change or steal it is like its shown in the video but with some force.
