This is a trailer of a documentary I'm producing to be released in September 2023 to honor these the 10 Baha'i women who were hanged in Shiraz, Iran.
18 June will mark 40 years since the execution of 10 Baha'i women in Shiraz, Iran. They were all hanged together on one night. Their "crime" was belief in a faith that promotes the principles of gender equality - absent and criminalized in Iran - as well as justice and truthfulness.
The Baha'i International Community has launched the worldwide campaign, #OurStoryIsOne .
Today, in the blood, tears and wounds of thousands of young women in Iran fighting for equality, we can see the legacy of the 10 women of Shiraz whose tragic death touched the lives of many.
