    KAPAMPANGAN STYLE BEEF ASADO * FROM MY HOMETOWN OF PAMPANGA * PERFECT WITH RICE
    ** RECIPE **
    1. heat 1/2 cup cooking oil over medium to high heat
    2. saute 2 medium cut potatoes until golden brown around the edges
    3. add 1 large sliced (french-cut) red bell pepper and continue to fry for 1 minute
    4. set aside fried potatoes and bell pepper
    5. re-use oil and saute 1 chopped medium onion for 20 seconds
    6. add 5 cloves chopped garlic and saute for another 15 seconds
    7. add 1/2 tsp salt
    8. add 2 lbs of beef chuck sliced in chunky cubes and saute until meat is brown
    9. add 2 medium sliced tomatoes and mix well with meat
    10. add 2 tbsp tomato paste and mix well for 1 minute
    11. add 1/4 cup soy sauce and mix well for 10 seconds
    12. add enough water to submerge meat, cover and boil for 30 minutes or until meat is tender
    13. add 1 tsp salt
    14. add 1/4 tsp sugar to balance acidity
    15. add fried bell pepper, set heat to medium, cover and cook for 30 minutes
    16. add fried potatoes and let it boil for another 10 minutes or until desired thickness of sauce
