Playin Healer is basically like being a babysitter in a room full of small children, every one intent on sticking forks in the electrical sockets.
It's so true lol. I used to run myself dry keeping everyone alive. Now when I see a DPS running into an attack I'm just like, "yeah I'll get back to you after your mistake sinks in a little bit."
The feelsssss. I love play and main as healer in mmorpg and this is the main reason I always look at the tank first.
"Oh tank is okay yep let me go heal you" or "ops tank health went down and you're almost died? You could have dodge the dmg area and we still got another dps to do dmg" 😂
In other case, I really hate people who scream buffs but they don't bother to try stay near around healer. Like I ran to you, used the buff and then you walked away and not getting it -_-
That moment when you are in a low lvl dungeon and get so bored...you let the tank die just to raise him...

Shadethewolfy I’m a bit late to this, but it actually had nothing to do with messing with glamour. I just really enjoyed playing Thaumaturge in Heavensward due to all the funny cross class abilities classes could use back then. I knew no one would mind because I was using full Alexander best in slot gear and my damage wouldn’t be offensively low.

@@Everlarke Macros are basically a bit of programming that you link to a single button press. In this case it's causing casting Raise to also spout off a pre-written rude message in party chat at the same time. People also sometimes use it to do a set skill rotation (really handy when you're crafting things).

@@Everlarke My favorite macro use is for Summoner and Scholar. You can use them to swap to the hotbar you specifically set up for each pet when you summon that pet.
You can always make lore friendly macros.
In case you were serious about not knowing what that race was, they're Padjals! They're basically special snowflake hyurs who stay children forever and tend to make super good healers. Raya-O-Senna is one, too.

I didn't either, haha. I just looked it up one day out of curiosity. You only learn about them through some not-too-obvious side dialogue that's sorta vague, and then iirc a developer or someone made a post in the FFXIV forums with some extra details.
Kan - E - Senna is one as well. until I looked it up I never even noticed her horns O.o
padjals are hyurs blessed by the elemental. :) most likely remnants of amdapor since white magic is their thing.
Yeah all the seedseer family are and so's the guy that you get the potd weapon from and lore basically implies like 1 in 10k regular hyur children get born as padjal

Game still loves White Mage. The other healers, not so much.
You know, you're right about the mount. PLDs get a lion, WARs get a bear, DRK get a panther but all healers get is the CNJ lv 30 anemic looking unicorn. They could at least make it so it shoots rainbows out of its butt.
How do we receive those mount?
in 4.3 Yoshi-P promises the unicorn will be able to fly by farting rainbows. look forward to it, hai.

for Benediction if you make a macro for /ac Benediction it will ONLY cast it on your TARGET. If your target is dead, it won't cast. Only down side is you have to target yourself to cast it on yourself while soloing, ect, but it is very useful (Atleast I think so!)

it seems like a lot of bards just don't understand that they can have both Wanderers minuet and another song on
Most bards that I notice aren't using songs while they sit at full mp I ask for them to start using them and I either get ignored or get a response about them using wanderers minuet instead
when I tell them that they can use both Wanderers Minuet and another song only a handful actually seem to try and admit their mistake

I'm looking to play WHM or SCH. Have you ever gone, "PLAY BALLAD!" before?
I don't have to often. Only if the rest of the group really sucks and I'm like, overhealing/picking people up off the floor/tank do you know what a cooldown is etc. I do ask politely for ballad if mp is down a bit and there's a part of a fight that nothing is going on, for example during the Creator phase change, since it just makes sense. I have also played bard, and enjoy actually playing songs haha.

Before I switched to RDM, I mained WHM...and the horror stories! I was clapping when you showed the tank not standing in the bubble, because they still do that. Drop bubble, tank ignores it.

When my friend started playing ffxiv he chose to be a paladin, so I decided to pick up Whitemage as my first ever healer (I only DPSed and Tanked before at that time) and I panicked so much in the beginning when my teammates got hurt. Now I'm just full of salt, and I'm constantly running into the middle of the battle while yelling "Holy time !!" Or "Assize! Mwahahahah >:U" While on vc with my friend. Thankfully he got used to my frequent irritated outbursts when the DPS dont follow mechanics or refuse to get out of AOEs lol (I am also guilty of not following mechanics correctly tho)

I just started the game as a white mage and somehow in just my 3rd insta I had to do both tanking, dps and healing through the final boss 😭
2.x/3.x days where you had to turn on cleric stance to deal dmg as a healer.............i don't miss those days at all
