Great video! If my hotel is in Ginza and I have a family of 4, is it cheaper to take the narita express or book a taxi through GO app from Narita airport?
Thank you for watching our video! If you're going from Narita Airport to Ginza, using the taxi app GO would cost around 24,000 yen. Taking the Narita Express, it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, costing around 3,000 yen per person :)
Very helpful vlog. Question: my friend asked me do Japanese taxi/ride share drivers speak/understand English? What percentage? I use the subway so easy for me. I could not give him an answer so am asking you.
Simple words like 'Asakusa' or 'Tokyo Skytree' can be understood in English, but if you want to explain the streets in detail, it might be challenging. In that case, using Google Translate would be helpful :)
I have found this video very helpful. Thank you for the video. I have a few questions: you mentioned that re-fixed fare is higher than metered fare and not recommended for the GO app. Then you suggested to fix fare in advance. So which should be right? GO app also has a fee of 400 yen plus the fare, correct? Uber, Didi, and GO apps can be used in Japan and all connected with taxi drivers. They are no difference and which has cheaper fare.
I will be in Osaka in a few weeks. Do you have videos about how to get around there and way to get from Osaka airport to Higashiosaka, Osaka.

Sorry, it seems the 2,000 yen coupon is not applicable without a Japanese phone number. However, if you download the app and register your phone number, you can get a 500 yen coupon. Did you manage to do that?

If I am going from the Narita or Haneda airport to Ebisu, does it cost that much more to take a taxi?
Taxis are more expensive than trains. Especially from Narita Airport to Tokyo, which is a bit far, it's best to travel by train during the day :)
