Actually, there are computer programs that are able to design the best structure for the use. Programs like that are used in the car industry and there are even car manufacturers that specialize on using such models that have been made/ designed by computers. I’ve seen a showcase video about such parts and they talked about how much easier it is to let the computer do the math than an engineer. I’m not sure if this is used for the shows shown (I’m sure it isn’t but who knows) but it could be a possibility.

I've seen heels like this online for years as prototypes and actual products, some refer to them as sculpted heels/shoes, and while some are just ideas people are working on, many are actually structurally sound despite the way they look. I'm glad they're starting to pick up more in recognition. I've always wanted a pair 🥰...well maybe not some of these, but still lol. Would definitely love to see more vids about these, there are some really gorgeous ones out there.
The "chewing gum" shoe is actually kinda famous. I think they were part of the Camp exhibit this year. I forgot the designer's name, but he's known for making "surrealist" shoes. Also... they're like $2,000+ a pair. I know...
Talking bad about Supreme while wearing Supreme lol. But that aside, another interesting potential about 3D printed shoes is that most 3D print plastic is 100% recyclable. You can print super specific shoes for a one time event and once that event is over it can be thrown into the grinder to make filament for the next print. This might not be sustainable for every day use, but it is a great alternative for the fashion which only get worn once.

I think the converse you have in the vid is a custom that someone made as a dupe. the original feng chen wang sneaker doesnt have the the extra flap by the toebox and only has an extra toe bumper glued on. the custom also seems to be cut into three parts instead of the original four and is missing the lace up detailing on the back of the heel
