    It's 3AM, I've spent a couple hours watching videos of tiny van campers, and your videos have been one of the 'easiest' to watch. Thanks a lot, and safe travels!

    I have the largest Ironman awning on my transit connect an absolutely love it, gives me rain and sun protection down the whole side of van.

      Scott Seyfert - how did you attach it? Similarly to a roof rack, or directly to the vehicle, etc? Thanks!

    Absolutely fantastic video! We watched your van video a few months ago and are SO happy to see this video. We joined the ford transit club when we saw that there were two of you sleeping in one. Thanks for the video!

    I bought the same fan. It isn’t in yet, we are on insulation (for life, hehe) You do great videos. I’m all over the place. Think I’ll make a list of all the points I want to hit. Nice to see the smaller Transit built out. That awning is heaven! I’m sure you’ll enjoy that! Thanks for showing how to set it up. It makes me want one cuz I can set it up by myself. Will you be doing an interior tour? Never mind, lol. I found it.

    I really want one of those fans for my Transit Connect. That awning would be too high for me to reach. I have a waterproof crib mattress pad that fits over my open rear doors really well and I bungee it in place, But I do have to stand on my step stool. I also have a screen house with a fly that I can rig up to create an awning between my van and screen house. I use magnets with clips on them to hold it to the roof. I love seeing what other people do to make their Transit Connects more livable. Good video.

      Very cool Linda! I hope you can share some videos of your van as well! The fan is a must if you are sleeping in your van on a consistent basis. Our awning is mounted pretty high but you could mount it lower if need be. For instance flipping the L brackets upside down would bring the awning down a few inches! Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the info!! Starting the plan for our connect! Any problem with the fan staying powered on through the power bank with some more time on it? I’m struggling to determine if I want to go with a power bank or a battery system. I have no electrical experience either. Thanks for your time.

    Do you have a link to which Rhino Roof Rack you used? I'm not finding it listed on any of your videos and am looking for the square option as well. Thanks!

    • @LauraConnected
      @LauraConnected  Před 2 lety

      Hey there! I don’t have a link, we bought ours from Rhino Rack directly on their website. If I recall, we entered the make and model of our vehicle into the system and it told us which bars were appropriate.

    What was the decision to have a full bed inside the van rather than the "usual" set up most of other people do to their vans? I really like it but can get claustrophobic

    • @LauraConnected
      @LauraConnected  Před 4 lety

      By usual setup I am assuming you are speaking of a bed that folds into a couch and some sort of table so that you can hang out inside. We deliberately weighed these options and decided that having a comfortable place to sleep was more important than compromising the the comfortability of the bed in order to get a small space to hang out in. I would have entertained the folding bed idea if it was just one person living out of the van but with two people it just did not seem practical. It also forces us to be out of the van and enjoy the places we are staying. This is a great question and was one of the first big decisions we had to wrestle with. If you consider yourself claustrophobic I would not suggest this setup.

      @@LauraConnected I agreed with your decision. When I traveled with my wife, I want a good night's sleep with her in my 2013 Transit Connect. A setup for one and two persons is completely different from my experience. Have a safe trip you two. Happy New Year 2021 from Oregon.

    Sorry but this van is nothing more than a bed and a roof fan!
