John was my friend from primary school through to age 18 at Halesowen Grammar School. Lost contact then but he called me a couple of weeks before he died. Didn't mention he was ill. RIP John. Amazing life.
Always such an amazing voice! I remember car journeys as a kid when dad (John) would sing as we drove along. How I'd love one of those journeys now. I can hardly believe it's been a decade today since we lost him. It's so special to still be able to hear and watch him sing. Missing you always dad. Love from us all xxx (31.10.15)
