- So we'll be bagging the Oats as they typically yield quite high and are expensive to bin and keep hauled away ... Let's talk about bagging 🙂

Hi Mike, you come across as a good boss to work for & that does reflect in the effort your guys will put in for you. It ain't always easy when all the responsibilities rest soley upon your shoulders, yet you appear to handle the balance well, keep on keeping on buddy. 😀🇬🇧
Timmon seems to want perfection in his work. Good man! Keep him around.
Mike this is why you are my favorite channel because “farming not perfect” and other channels seem to forget that and just show the best parts.
Me too, I love how he shows us everything about a farmer's work
Wow Mike’s first drone footage in a video. That was cool now maybe he will purchase one and have more videos with it.
The north farm is a gift that keeps giving .
Have you been to the farms there?
@@tony98discovery I farm 11 quarters in the north
So, had the weirdest dream this morning. Apparently I was combining 300 bushel corn off the coast of Fiji in an X9 with a folding corn header. Brian Brown’s wife had just delivered 300 chicken wings for lunch. My youtube videos got really mashed up in my dreams.
Kayla could bring me lunch any day! 🤣
I was going say, what was she wearing?
Mike, did you try the transmission setting "torque converter simulation".
It's a setting in the transmission menu. When you block this setting by touching the button (red cross appears through the symbol), the transmission won't be elastic anymore at low revs. The speed shall be more consitant.
Take care: the setting will be undone after you restart the tractor.
And the transmission can do slower by changing the setting for accelaration speed of step 1. Other people pointed that out earlier in this conservation already.
Good luck and thanks for great video's. 👌
If you drive the fendt in stick mode instead of pedal mode you can just put it in forward and set the cruise on 0.1 that is way better than the pedal
Timmon is AWESOME and is SO nice. You are so lucky to have him.
Well said Timmon 😁
I would like to know where is accent comes from.
@@kuhluhOG Probably not the case but as soon as I heard him talking I was thinking he kind of sounds german
@@georgwagner4438 same
I even come from Germany, so that's why I ask
@@kuhluhOG I thought it sounds more Eastern European maybe Russian or Polish?
The drone shots were very cool. Thanks guys.
We've never had stubble puncture the bottom of the bag. As the bag feeds down onto the ground, it tends to lay the stubble over, rather than just resting on the top of the stubble. We have had stubble puncture the sides of the bags in a really really nasty storm though... The wind was strong enough to blow stubble into the side of the bags
Great video Mike
Tell Timmons that lumpy bag was the perfect teaching aid LOL
Excellent use
Our JD 6150R Autopower is quite happy to travel at 50 metres/hr at any revs.
Love this video there is so much more activity
I am also very impressed with the way he works on his farm
Dronefootage love it
Ja ja, me gusta el final que dices "adiós" en español 😁😁
Magnifique secage pour les récolte
Has anyone tried portable poly fences with a solar charger around grain bags to prevent critters? I guess with snow and low sunlight that creates a problem.
Automatically, thumb up.
Awesome drone footage Mike
Should have put Ernie on the bagger
Heard some new hollands can go as low as 20 meters per hour in crawler gears, might want to look at that
Mike, do anyone try to electric fence around the bags? Do is even possible or cost-effective?🤔
Why not cover bags with something? Here in Europe we use nets on top of plastic cover to cover grass/corn silage to prevent animals and birds to damage it. I have also seen they use it for grain bags.
You can get a super slow upgrade for the gps we have it on Trimble down to .1 kph
Mike, I have a question: You say the 724 is too heavy for the grain bagger. What would happen if you used Ernie?
Are you a grain grower?
I'm not sure it is that bagging friendly, you don'y have that precise control over speed in case you have to move forward by using tractor power.
Loaders are quick tach take it off for the bagging help a little. Be a good job for your massey
If the tractor is to heavy why not set the bags on the ground ,that are on the loader , you have them on a pallet.
so crops are yielding .... it changes from the south ...
will you use bag nest in other to protect it from wild animals ...
That would be the perfect job for Ernie
Have you gone into your transmission settings and lowered the aggressiveness of the setting 1 accelerator ramp? Should be able to adjust it from 0.02 to 0.31.
Mike is forever busy. I hope he finds time to relax when the harvest is done, but I am sure he will find something to keep him busy.
I think so too, farm work is always fun for him and maybe he doesn't find himself busy
Deere IVT is ready good for super slow moving- I think 0.03 mph
Have you ever tried diatomaceous Earth to control the moisture in the grain?
Good job from punjab India🇮🇳🇮🇳
Hi Mike. Would Ernie have driven the bagger?
I got a question Mike; can a bag be poked by the stuble where its laying on?. Great vid again and cool that Timmon and Donovan were on
It's happened on canola stubble yes
Should look into a LOFTNESS bagger system.
We have a PRO bagger works awesome some minor inconvenience s with bag pan design
Never watched much bagging but Akron should hook up a remote connected to the brake so the bag operator can at least get out of the dust this would also allow them to operate it from the tractor cab
You have to be able to measure the stretch of the bag though, which means walking along it
Funny how each type of equipment is different… New Holland (Intelliview-12) will stay on GPS even sitting stopped…
We need Ernie on the bagger
I was gonna say the same thing but I couldn’t remember the tractors 🚜 Name
Cool video! I’ve never seen such a storage method. What machinery is used to shift the grain out of the bag?
Father in law is correct - oat itch is the worst. Best to wear old clothes because you will be throwing them out after the harvest.
I have grown oats for 43 harvests and never thrown out my clothes after harvest season is over.
187 🐊 greetings from austria
Does airing up the tires on the tractor help with its rolling resistance while bagging?
Hi, do is possible to or cost-effective protect bags with electric fencing or running a wire? 🤔
Will you be able to keep Timmon on full-time all year around?
He's already went back home now, hoping he returns next year 🤷♂️🙂
@@mikemitchell2554 where does he call home
@@benbregman7010 Graz, Austria
@@mikemitchell2554 If he's Austrian, he'll be back !
@@mikemitchell2554 Have you ever been in Austria?
hey mike for what its worth why not put out a solar fencer and a single wire around the begs to keep the bigger animals off the bag atleast
The 724 looks so small compared to the JD holy f...
Using the bagger system. Does this mean your two big grain bins are full?
Morning
porque va tan despareja esa bolsa??🤔🤔
Use your Massey 1105 next year. If necessary improve the hydraulic system on it and let it do some decent work again.
you need old Ernie on the bagger
Hi, Mike do you have problem with birds stiking holes in the bag.
Would Ernie work for the bagger or would it be too much of a hassle
Does Ernie not have enough power or the features to run the grain bagger ?
I know it’s not a complete fair comparison but we tried running a Ernie size tractor on a “silage” bagger and it never had near enough power.
Ernie would do it but we didn't use it for 2 reasons. 1: it was too far of a drive for Ernie to the field and 2: It's currently full of mice from sitting and that's not a good environment for any to sit in.
@@mikemitchell2554 You know that mice in the cab are an issue when you step on the clutch & a mouse runs up your leg.
The trick is to grab your calf and squeeze the mouse to death before it gets up to your crouch 😂🐀🐁🤣
@@crandonborth Ernie would run that bagger like a charm purr like a tomcat in a creamery!
@@gavinperry7237 I been there!!!
Donnivan should hover the drone directly over the bagger so when batteries die it drops into the bagger and ends up as dockage 🤣😂
Why didnt u put your little massey on bagger ?
how much acres do you have in total? Greats from germany
We’re do u get the bags from mike??
Why not use Ernie, if the 724 is too heavy...😎
Great question! Ernie's cab is full of mice and is not a good environment for anyone to sit in and there's been no spare time to clean it properly 🙂
Great video, but I'm confused. Why isn't bagger pto engaged? I realize it is getting hydraulic power, but bagging is new to me.
It is engaged, there's a safety cover over the pto that's spinning, that your clothes or hands or whatever else don't get caught in it.
So basically you should be using your Massey Ferguson
Mike how common is vandalism and theft with these bags?
How are those moved after being filled?
They come with a bag extractor and clean the bag out
@@derekhurlburt4488 so it’s left till then just sitting there?
@@joelg8004 yes til they sell it
Try rye it's worst than barley and oats.
Where’s Barney he’d be perfect for the bagger
Who is Barney?
If you want the Massey 1105 his name is Ernie, hope this helps you out. 😇
Hey Mike Love the vids does the stubble ever puncture the bottom of the Grain bag ?
Where is Timmin from? What nationality?
I’d like to invent a spray of some sort that can be applied to the plastic to detour wildlife for atleast 365 days
Timmon must be German 🙂
Austrian actually.
Why you do this in the field and not in your farm?
Y not use Ernie??
Where’s Bert put it on bagger
ohhhh you cnadaian folks....tisk tisk. you make me laugh
Hi sir my name name is salman. I watched your videos that is amazing. Sir i want to work with if you have opportunity.
hi just a quick question could you maybe like face the cam to the work and less on you thanks
Where is Ernie the Massey, that would have been a perfect job for him.
I was thinking just that that Massey was made for that work costs zero money to run that old girl hrs on it
Mike, you need a shave
Great video Mike
