I think hamon would be better then stands in a game like this tbh.
The roster is large with 40. But due to past games and how many series SJ owns, I can't help but feel that the roster is lacking. Yu-Gi-Oh deserves at least 2 more characters (Most likely Kaiba and Yami Marik) and so do other series. Hell, even famous series like Gintama are not in here.

The only characters in this game that are touching Goku are Saint Seiya characters.
Mann it kinda hurts that most of the characters are from naruto,dbz,one piece I would've loved someone from gintama or assassination classroom but oh well

Honestly though, I'm pumped for this game. The beta was fairly smooth for me & I already pre-ordered and everything. THOUGH I will say that I do wish there were more characters. For its recent 50th anniversary, I thought there would be more of a variety to make things a bit more interesting. Still... It looks good so it has me hooked for now. 😁

Escanor, All Might, Grimmjow, Broly, Seto Kaiba DLC I guess as dlc.
Escanor (and seven deadly sins) is from another manga company, so that won’t happen. This is just for Jump. The others are possible though. Well not sure about Broly since he’s never been in Jump, but DBZ has so... that one is tricky. That being said, DBZ has enough fighters.

We may not have All Might, no Bakugo, no Todoroki, no Stain, no Shigaraki, no All For One, no Seto Kaiba, no Madara, no Obito, no Sarada, no Merged Zamasu, no Jiren, no Broly (from super), no Beerus, etc... But... at least we have... A CUSTOM CHARACTER! YAY! :D

This game is gonna be pitiful. Cool concept poor execution. Would’ve taken another ArcSys fighter over yet another arena brawler and the franchise representation sucks despite the decent sized roster.
Not gonna say it's gonna be shit before it even releases, don't want to be that guy, but I agree. Despite all the diverse franchises Shonen Jump owns, they obviously went with the huge ones the most instead of representing more of them. I'm happy we at least get HxH and JoJo, but 6 characters for the huge ones is too much and they could've included other series instead.
Like I said I hope it isn't just "watching cool fight sequences" the game. Naruto arena fighters turn me off because it's bare bones basic combos then watching a cutsence.

Gray-Man, Assassination Classroom, Gintama, Beelzebub, Bastard, World Trigger, Psyren, Saiki Kusuo, Buso Renkin, To Love Ru, Shaman King, Bobobo, or Kinnikuman, but One Piece, Naruto and Dragon Ball get *SIX* characers each (when 4 would have been enough).
I can't believe I'm saying this but J-Stars was a better celebration of Jump's History than this one.

This was supposed to be the game to celebrate 50 Years of Shonen Jump. but instead of honoring that History we get a bunch of characters from series that are already popular and have tons of games where you can play as them (wheter it's the Naruto Storm Series, Dragon Ball Xenoverse or Fighterz, One Piece Burning Blood, Pirate Warriors, Unlimited World, World Sekeer.).
Personally I wanted Medaka, but you can't tell me there isn't a lot of people out there that was excited for a chance to play as Gintoki, or Kinnikuman, or Allen Walker, etc. now they can't.
