Excellent content. How I lusted after a Fantic Caballero back in 1977, but I had to make do with a Gilera Enduro, just before the Sloped law came in!

Thanks very much. Gileras were pretty good, mega-popular in the south west. Thanks to Bob Wright a lot of spares are still available so they can be a fairly easy restoration.

Really enjoyed this video. That TX 160 Caballero is clearly a competition bike, as it picks up so fast under acceleration & revs pretty high too - delicious!

TX160 with the 6102 cylinder and Mikuni 26mm carb, 13hp @ 13000rpm! Gets into 6th gear before 30mph and it's easy to think that's it, BUT twist the throttle some more and it goes into 'hyper' mode and carries on all the way to 50 plus. Of course, it's not really designed for sustained flat-out running, better suited to pulling out of muddy corners and up hills. They can be tricky to get running correctly...BUT when they do......

@@mrsilbo6499 yes, mental is really the correct description for the Mik26!

As a 60 year old now, think I would of given one of my kidneys to own one of these bikes in my youth

Thanks John. Although I had a Yamaha FS1-E in 1978, and I can understand those that want the same bike they had back then, I much prefer the more exotic mopeds now. The challenge of actually finding the bikes in the first place and then the process of tracking down parts etc. is great fun.
