My husband was asked if he wanted to deliver our baby this time (third baby) but I was labouring in the shower in the hospital and when it came time to push I refused to get out so I gave birth on all fours in the corner of the shower. The midwife had to get in the shower with a torch (flashlight) to see what was happening and catch the baby.
My babies are all 4 years apart and I worry about forgetting what the newborn stage is like but I've remembered so quickly once my babies were born and my instincts kick in. Although I forget things like taking nappies and wipes when we go out.

Hey I just talked to my doctor about evening primrose oil and she said it can cause more bleeding in afterbirth!!!!! That could be the reason you had hemorrhaging after little man.

  • @brittles548
    @brittles548 Před 3 lety +1

Evening primrose definitely works. I inserted a capsule every night before bed for the last month of both of my pregnancies. For my daughter I was 6 cm dilated at my midwife check the day before she was born. And I was in no pain at all! My midwives were very shocked. And said my body was very gradually preparing itself, which would make my labour easier. My labour was quite easy and 3 hrs from first contraction to end.
Than I did the same with my son and labour was easy, and 2.5 hrs from first contraction.
    Definitely recommend evening primrose!

I love your idea of having a garbage bag and towels in the car just in case it comes to that (I was in the hospital for 12 minutes last time so its a very real possibility). I had two pretty quick birthes too, the second one I was at the hospital 19 minutes before my son was born. My water broke about an hour before. Thankfully the midwife in the hospital started to till the birthtub as soon as I called. My midwife told me afterwards, if the birth proceeds very quickly, you better stay at home as to have your baby in the car. It might be a good idea to talk to a professional how you could prepare yourself, just in case. If you do not know it already I can recommend the book „Hypnobirthing“ very much. It helped me so much during both birthes. I also could recommend a birth in the hospital with just a midwife. Here I could choose this option. Just me, my husband and the midwife, when the baby came, two midwives.

I also have very fast labours at 1hr40 and 2hrs for #2 and #3 also started hemorrhaged after #2 and #3 but my midwife gave me a shot that stopped it . Yay! I can't believe you're so far along now! I tend to also have fast labors, and chose to have homebirths. May I point you in a direction as far as planning your emergency unassisted birth? You might consider reaching out to one of the midwives in your area and get their advice on the essentials needed for birth. I've heard that in Canada the homebirth midwives are fairly integrated into the healthcare system so it shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of one. You could also reach out to a doula in your area that has attended some homebirths and see what they suggest. Best of luck to you all! Also the garbage bag and towel in the car is a GREAT thing to have ready haha

home births are extremely popular where I live, most people I know choose to have home births with one midwife present. My own mum wanted to have two homebirths but ended up having to go to hospital after being in labour for too long. She had a 32 hour labour with me. But her next was a one hour labour with her private midwife at home. Even tho she had complicated pregnancies and basically spent eight months attached to an IV in both. My aunt had five home births. My other aunts all had homebirths, too, and I am hoping to have one, too.

I understand the anxiety of learning everything again for the new born stage. Lol every baby is different so it feels like we are first time moms all over again.
That’s one thing that keeps me from actively trying to conceive for now; the thought of the breastfeeding struggle and sleep training/lack of sleep. 😂

Hello from Australia! I love all your videos and can relate so much :) you are looking amazing and all the pain you feel is totally normal because 7 months ago I had baby number 3 and was in so much pain! I did see the chiro every week for my last 2 months and helped so much with pain and birth. Allah the best sister xx

I am very excited and happy; a new baby is coming. I have been following you for two years, if I get married I want to step up a life like you, it's so nice that you wake up early and you are healthy and energetic (contrary to me) 💖 And again I translated it with Google translate I hope there is no misunderstanding💖💖💖

Oh I totally feel you on the spacing nerves. Mine are almost eleven four and one-and a bit... and I’m oddly worried about how to to new baby in October with number four! But we’re going to be fine

I take red raspberry leaf tea also but it is not advised if you are a heavy bleeder as it can cause you to hemorrhage if you already bleed a lot...

My labors are exactly like yours! My midwife said I have to have a home birth next time lol we were 11 minutes away from a car birth. 🤣
Also the chiropractor was a complete game changer for ligament pain that you were talking about!

Hey I know this is a personal decision and topic, but I am also a pregnant mama from central Saskatchewan and I feel like we are very similar in not only location in the world, but how we approach life and motherhood! I love your videos and look up to you, so I wanted to get your input on the covid vaccine and if you will be getting it or have already gotten it. I like talking to other pregnant moms since we are in the same situation ❤

I’m feeling bummed that I carry so inward. I’m 24 weeks right now and I’m still waiting for my belly to pop. It makes dressing the bump so much cuter when you have a prominent bump! I was honestly shocked when you showed your belly! I looked like that the day I gave birth the first time.

I know that feeling .makes one feel kinda jealous of others flaunting off their baby bumps From much earlier .mine only popped out like crazy around 30 weeks .I only found out I was expecting at 27 weeks and with twins too at that .delivered at 37 weeks

Home birth is perfect for fast labors! I only had one so far, but it was three hours as well. I had no idea it will be so fast and wasn't really have any plan.

Glad you're feeling better and doing so well rn! That's surprising about there not being a lot of midwives around where you live; they seem so common in the US! I guess they would have to live pretty close to you in particular with how fast your births have been lol, but that's too bad, I wish you could have the home birth experience of your dreams! In any case, I hope you get to feel the head coming out and see everything this time! I'm so beyond happy for you, can't wait to see the new baby!!

That's so sad that there aren't accessible midwives there... but so good that you have a fantastic doctor that you trust!
When we decide to have another child I'm more nervous about the NB stage than the birth for sure.
