@@solgam if staying away from rambling and only talking about the core uses of each student tooke an hour and 20 minutes, I loathe to imagine the alternative. Hopefully the pull guide I'm planning next will be much shorter.

3 of the most glaring students I would change:
1. Wakamo is still best ST blue dps vs bosses. Her unique item makes a huge difference, 9->12k attack and basic skill dmg almost doubles. She is worthy of being an anniversary student.
2. Shigure(Hot springs) will be even more awesome with more students on the screen but even besides that she heals your entire party(4ppl) for 20k+ every 50s without the need for EX skill.
3. Izumi also has some powerful unique gear which takes her way out of "no use" zone. She finds herself often in top teams for red content on torment difficulty.
@@solgam had no clue they decided to do something about Izumi, huh. That said, this tier list as well as any other guides I make definitely won't take torment into account, as engaging in that content is a wholly different game on its own.
I've heard the consensus that while Wakamo's bond gear fixes her issues, it's still a little underwhelming - and I see this reflected in how often she shows in insane difficulty one-team comps (players sometimes prefer maid Aris for example). Add to that her narrow use (ST blue) and she remains a step below the other Anniversary students (just try comparing her to Mika for yellow or D. Hina for red).
Don't have experience with O. Shigure, guess she's being added to the Set core unit list. That'd put her into niche tier but I don't imagine she'd be on the same level of core unit as D. Ako.
All in all, can't speak on the other two points but must disagree on Wakamo, I try to use her whenever I can but she's just not as broken as other Anniversary units.
@@kingarthur0407 Entire blue roster is underwhelming for single target dmg. But we have to make do with what we have. Wakamo is most often used along Arisu(maid) becouse of the "free" dps she provides. Speaking of Arisu(maid) theres actually 4 students I should have listed ;)
@@solgam what do you have against Arisu's placement? I've said in the vid it varies by how much malding you can stomach. Also both Izunas work wonders for ST and small AoE due to their passive skills, we just don't have blue Mika, and Wakamo was supposed to be that but fell flat. Maybe if her ATK cap on EX was higher...

@@abstract7272 not yet. Also i rechecked before doing the tierlist and neither she nor d. Aru are limited, so I'm going to be dumping all 800 of my pulls into d. Hina banner instead of saving a spark for d. Aru. Also d. Aru has priority over Kayoko, as she's a support over a DPS.

Makoto above D.Ako? Almost everyone I've seen prefers Ako over her especially during these free pulls, and Makoto seems more niche.
@@pkcrash-z5o D. Ako is solely core for Set content, from what I know. I am also pulling her first. They are on the same tier, as all Niche characters are S tier. Makoto has many more uses as well as being top tier for Chesed.
Is there a reason you're putting Makoto above D.Ako? I've seen people prefer her during these free pulls.
@@pkcrash-z5o Answered your other comment - pull priority is Ako first, but i only do so due to Set content. As such Makoto escapes the niche tier.

generally agree with eveything there, though i would like to point out that Ako and Himari need to be on the same tier
Himari sees more use and is comfier, the former is due to Mika being such a staple, and Mika wanting NY Fuuka as the other support.
@@kingarthur0407 my argument is Ako should be higher than NY. Fuuka. She is much more niche than Ako and the latter will be usable in a wider variety of teams albeit at the lack of some wasted EX expenditure.
You seem to not follow your own rules when it comes to who gets on niche tier and who does not. Like Makoto is hyper niche by the very nature of how her EX skill's dmg scales. less than 10? do half dmg. which is good for like 1 and a half phase in raid content maybe.
@@NoradNoxtus over the past year the use of ny fuuka or ako was around 50/50 , with himari. Fuuka is also core for Mika. Makoto looks top tier cuz of community consensus and her last passive (30% yellow dmg).

Really disagree with the "niche" tier. If you're a pvp player, SShiroko or Shun are basically a must-have staple. Same with NYHaruna, she still carries your PvP team in DPS when it's not her best terrain. Also Ui which basically goes anywhere with Mika where NYFuuka can't, or TYuuka which goes into any raid where you must have repositioning.
Sure they might be more situational but they're often "must have" in those situations, so putting some of them below S/A or A tier students is just wrong.
@@55ziomal55 that's why they're in the niche tier. They are pretty much irreplaceable to score high in this content.
@@kingarthur0407 Eh, I would still place them higher, niche tier should belong to students that are good for one very specific thing only (but are replaceable) and nothing else, like SWakamo or Kayoko.
Irreplaceable students should be ranked higher.
@@55ziomal55 the niche students are S tier, as is written in the desc and the tierlist. I just wanted to keep the s, a, and s/a tiers together. Otherwise, for being a potential 200 pull just to score high on a raid looks kinda meh to me. Especially seeing as you can just borrow them or that I'm currently rank 35 with no pvp units except Shun. The only student I'd rate higher out of niche tier is T. Yuuka, but S. Shizuko exists for Goz...
Kayoko is a single use - useless otherwise kinda student, while niche tier is pretty good in all content + necessary for a specific type of content with little to no replacement if you want to be competitive.
S. Hina is pretty good for some grand asaults, like Goz or Kaiten.

@@kingarthur0407 Have seen her plenty of times as an alternative/second team tank to Natsu their defensive stats are almost identical and both have self healing, i will defend my daughter to the ends of the earth.
@@goatsarecool4012 torment difficulty? I'd say Natsu fits well into the Niche tier, for she was made solely for Pero content. Not sure what Reisa is best in slot for yet

@@TheOnlySaizan depends on what content you want it for. Your team sounds extremely close to the top tier teams for insane and torment hieronymus rn. If you're doing campaign, replace d. Hina with any aoe, like mutsuki. I'd also replace d. Ako with a 2nd aoe. D. Hina will not work in normal stages at all, and will hold you back during autoplay.
@@kingarthur0407 I've only started playing this game 2 weeks ago because of the 100 free pull and get lucky enough to get D.ako. Idk the core gameplay or anything, if you ask what I want to use it for, the best answer is probably mission. Should I just build Mika then?

@@TheOnlySaizan insane pulls, congrats! All these units are S tier or above.
With d. Hina you need to aim her skill manually, so if you auto battle she just stands there for 10 seconds, messing up your clear time. That said, she's the best red dps and most damaging unit in the game. All the units you mentioned are single-target only, that's why I recommended Mutsuki. Mika is the best single-target yellow damage by far (measures up to d. Hina).
Check out other free top tier units for AoE like Momoi (yellow dmg), Chise (blue) - anything tier B or above in this tierlist video (not the pull priority guide - that one will tell you what limited units are worth potentially spending 200 pulls on, otherwise save for next anniversary banners). You should be good to clear pretty much anything till the next anniversary, where you can get Kuroko to be the top blue dps, and hopefully S. Hanako too.
