The guy who got sucked into the fire-tornado was a cameraman, so I'll pass.
They should have invited a medical expert as well! He could have judge the COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC behavior of humans, their possibilities and bodies under those conditions! For example you can NOT run in the event of a major earthquake, because the ground is constantly moving beneath you! You can NOT breath OR even survive in a closed surrounding when it is so hot that even glass is breaking - you would literally been boiled ALIVE! Thereon is a human body not that heavy when you are dealing with natural catastrophic circumstances! When you have a frying hot airwave by a volcanic eruption, compressed air by a tsunami or the whirling storm of a freaking tornado the ravishing winds would just blow away a human like a flake of dust!!!
And in 2012-
You can’t outdrive an earthquake, and you cannot outdrive *Yellowstone*

San Andreas holds the best CGI I've ever seen. However, there is one thing that makes me feel disappointed is that the movie uses the Richter Scale, which is absolutely obsolete in the real life, to measure large and devastating earthquakes instead of the Moment Magnitude Scale.

A cyclone happened in Queensland, Australia, it was ripping sharks out of the water and throwing them into Brisbane (Queensland capital)
Citation please.
Because we’ve always had bullsharks in the Brisbane river, but not in the streets unless there’s a major flood. The last major flood was in 2011, and was absolutely not caused by a cyclone (though Cyclone Yasi did happen a very short while after Brisbane flooded).
Also, it’s really rare for cyclones to travel as far south as Brisbane. It happens occasionally, but not often. The closest to that happening in my lifetime was Marcia (2014 or 2015, I think), but it wasn’t a cyclone by the time it reached the level of Brisbane- just a tropical low. Plenty of rain, though. There was another one similar a year or so previously, but again, it was only a low by the time it got that far south- Australia Day weekend the year my daughter started prep (so, 2013, maybe?). Just going off memory.
But no sharks dropped on our heads by a cyclone or otherwise. Not during my lifetime (32 years) and I’m even if it had happened previously, it would probably be a rather well known story (much like I know about the 74 floods, and Tracey in 75)

@@CS-vh3xk
The truth needs no protection.
Environmental damage is caused by humans and the pressure to do something about it fell on governments and big businesses. "Climate change" is an attempt to divert that pressure onto the average person. The biggest contributers to the problem are the very same people that preach about climate change catastrophe whilst jetting around the globe to their various mansions.
@@CS-vh3xk It doesnt bother me so much that you called me stupid, but that your reply is more of an indirect response to what i typed. It's as though you heard some key words then blurted without consideration your reply.
Especially in politics where facts are sorely lacking. I wish more scientists and engineers would run for public office.
Do killer animal movies with animal experts!!!
Tyler Mawhinney Yes they need to do that!
do it with apex predators
Brilliant.
The Grey is in trouble on that one.
oh yes!!!

Not plausible: Lava is much more dense than your body. You won’t just dive into it.
If you were to jump into a volcano, your lungs would evaporate, the skin on your body would literally begin to boil... If you were to hit the pool of lava, your body would just bounce across the surface lol
That was a very thin layer of lava and the dude was jumping feet first with another guy on his back. I know lava is super dense but I feel like that would be enough force over a small enough area to have him sink a few inches in before he buoyed back up.
If you jump into a pool with a bunch of floats(or don't. Not exactly safe....) you'd bounce on the surface, yes, but you would sink a few inches at the first impact before you start bouncing.
@@allenl5960 I don't think that you understand _how_ dense lava really is. Try to lift a 1m² cube of lava. Then you will understand. And to be clear - you are asking to move much more than that.
You will rather break your legs.
Some numbers for you for better comprehension:
3x denser than water
up to 1.1 million times more viscous (resistance to flow).
Your body will literally "flow" easier than lava which is why it would crush you into a pulp if you catch a "wave front" of it.
@@MetallicReg why don't you guys demonstrate it to us all? Go get someone, carry them on your back, and try to jump a few feet over a thin layer of molten lava and see how much you bounce. Be sure to film it for us!

Into the storm was filmed at my middle school😂 it is crazy to see it in that state
This was so freaking educational. I will be revisiting this to brush up my geological theories for my exams.
Can Epidemiologists fact check zombie or pandemic virus-type movies like Contagion, Quarantine, etc ☺️☺️☺️
EDIT ~
Suggested movies would be:
Contagion
Quarantine
The Crazies (Since you already covered the Happening)
I am Legend
28 Days Later
Dawn of the Dead
World War Z
Just to name a few! 💛
More titles please. I love me some zombie movies lol
That's exactly what I was wondering 😂😂
Train to Busan would be interesting
U dont need a virus to cause ppl to do worse (send their children to murder strangers). U just need a good orator.
K Rese we don’t have any evidence of pathogens that can simulate zombie like behaviour. So, that’s all they would say.
Why does that guy to the left look like a famous celebrity or something
Nick Saxon he vaguely looks like Spielberg.
doesn't she look like lena dunham though?
James Cromwell?
He looks and sounds like David Strathairn
He's in the movie I robot
1) I wonder if the scientists had seen the entirety of each film, or w're just basing it off a handful of clips 🤔
2) this gave me a whole list of more awesome films to watch! Yay!
Most likely based on clips.
The day after tomorrow, for exemple, the events in the movie are played over a week. In real life, such events would taked hundreds of year to happen. Enough time to either find a solution or addapt.
Based on the clip they say real-ish but based on the full movie it would be unrealistic.
This was very fascinating. I've seen some of these movies. Volcano, 2012 and The Impossible
WHY DID THEY INCLUDE SHARKNADO LMAOOO
i'm more bothered by the dam breaking than sharknado. atleast a sharknado is a natural disaster, a fictional one for sure, but natural. a dam is man made, and therefore, when it breaks, its not natural
@El-ahrairah i mean he didn't completely call it unrealistic, but he said the tornado would have to be so much stronger to be able to pull sharks out of the water and throw them that far or take them all the way to land..🤷♀️
@El-ahrairah There's no tornadoes in LA.
I clicked on this video hopping Sharknado would be included, to be honest lol
El-ahrairah because theres not that many sharks that‘d just get sucked up like that. Most of them are further below water and a lot of shark species dont typically swim near coasts. Plus global shark populations have declined almost 90% during the last few decades, so it‘d be pretty unreasonable that so many sharks would be thrown on land. And even then, I doubt they‘d still be able to try to eat humans when they‘ve been taken out of the water and completely disoriented and without oxygen. Plus humans arent natural prey items for sharks, so they probably wouldnt even try, they‘d just land on the ground and suffocate
My husband's father was almost on the boat that inspired The Perfect Storm. Only reason he didn't go was my husband was just born.

Something similar happened to my dad and step-mom. He was supposed to be at the Las Vegas Shooting. His flight was canceled the week before the shooting. His money was returned.
@@user-ex4nt9ig9y that's insane! For multiple reasons actually. First off to nearly miss that tragedy and second off to get their flight canceled AND their money returned!
Similar to my parents. They were living in Thailand and were planning to go to Phuket for Christmas 2004 but my mum started to throw up because she was pregnant with me so they decided not to go.
Thank God for your husband then
Why do both guys look like they were the actors in the movie I, Robot? On the left there's the professor Lanning and on the right he kinda looks like the CEO, Lawrence.
Lol. Exactly. He sounds just like that IRobot actor too 😂😂😂

It’s really weird seeing your uncle in a video with millions of views.
Your uncle should be treasured forever lol.
Is he single?

Tim B the water expert.
Well you didn't specify which video so this could either be heartwarming or messed up.
In geography we actually talked about the pyroclastic flow in the new Jurassic world movie, and how there no way Chris Pratt could out run it
We watched it during our volcanism class. Our class was laughing our butts off during that scene. They should've been toasted. If there's one thing they should've known beforehand, it's that NO ONE can outrun a pyroclastic flow.
...but he didn't. It caught him, remember? He just didn't die which is probably unrealistic. So yes, unrealistic, but in a different way.
Wendellmina Gaurino no just no one you would have to be in a hypercar on a perfectly flat track even then it’s possible
Not to mention the dust and debris.... That stuff can knock you out badly.
Tom Cruise on the other hand...
What’s cool about interstellar is that it portrays space accurately as well.
