    It's too bad that the second conversation wasn't analyzed, because it contained a very interesting idiom :
    三天打鱼两天晒网 (sān tián dǎ yú liǎng tián shài wǎng)
    This literally means: "three days catch fish, two days dry nets"
    But the real meaning is: do something on-and-off (i.e. lack perseverence)
