- Remotely piloted aircraft are getting new attention amid reports Iran shot down a U.S. Navy drone last month and the U.S. downed an Iranian drone last week. Many of the drones the U.S. Air Force flies overseas are piloted from a military base in the United States -- and "CBS This Morning" got a rare, behind-the-scenes look. Janet Shamlian reports.

And I grew up hearing, "Video games are a waste of time!"
TRUE KEYBOARD WARRIORS
bro that major, he has a severe form of ptsd. /salute
They say any landing you can walk away from is a good one.
"what ever you call it" uav inbound
This man in the container killed more people ( playin video game ), than some operative soldier.
Wait....are those the coordinates to my apartment?😨😨
I can only imagine the skill level of military FPV pilots with access to drones with unlimited potential
"We don't like the term drone... we prefer REAPER"
As a tech for those GCS I feel there should’ve been a lot of things blurred out..
But could you imagine fying one of these things that was capable of bfm flying??
The real Top Gun sequel would be a group of young adults led by Maverick's Son/Daughter (aka "LittleMav") who turned his/her professional video game career into being the best drone pilot in Vegas.
I wonder how much lag there is. I'd love to see a comparison video with the operator monitor on one side of the screen, and realtime video of the drone on the other side. To see what's the difference. How laggy the controls are. I guess the nominal landings are probably automatic, but during crosswinds - the operator prolly has to takeover. And i can't imagine piloting something this expensive from the other side of the globe, with control lag in tens or even hundreds of miliseconds.
Can’t get over just how much video games actually payed off.
I’m 11 and my uncle operates a drone. But my mom says he wakes up screening and has diarrhea.
Cool
Where are these alien cheeks.
A recruiter wants me to do this
I so want to do this job wish my country had such a Job but it's reserved for Air Force pilots only no direct recruitment like USAF😔
Can I get a killboard score system,
