The bassist is Armand Sabal-Lecco (from Cameroon), the keyboard player is Philippe Saisse (from France). They worked on Senri Kawaguchi's solo album called "Cider Hard & Sweet" where this track is originally from. They later recorded a live DVD/Blu-ray called Triangle where this clip is from. So they knew the song, but I am relatively sure (like in most Jazz) that the solo's are at least partially improvised by all of them. Jun Abe wrote the track from what I can find online, he is a Japanese keyboard player. I can't easily get to my copy to double check because it's under a pile of other CD's, but that would make sense because Jun Abe has worked with Senri plenty of times on different projects and he has composed tracks for her other solo albums. This is probably my favourite of her solo albums and I absolutely love this performance (got this one on Blu-ray). I am not at all a huge jazz fan, but there are some jazz musicians and the projects they are in that I can't get enough of and Senri is certainly one of them.
I have been following Senri for a number of years, recently she has been playing live along with Miku Yonezawa and also with a female 7 piece called the Jazz Avengers. What is interesting Haruna has similar techniques to Senri!
She is amazing, a virtuoso. She is mostly jazz and jazz fusion but she is doing something with a prog metal band Zelest. She has solo albums and a band called Kiyo*Sen, great stuff. There is a video here called "Introducing Serni Kawagucci" a preview of her part in Zelest, somehow I don't think much is going to happen with them. And someone already commented about The Jazz Avengers.
Great choice Bobby. You nailed it - *Everyone* brought their *A++* game. Senri is incredibly talented and impressive. She looks relaxed and has that big smile. She never seems stressed no matter how busy her limbs are. AFAIK Senri wrote Wupatki, and the other two played it on her album. Best Wishes. ☮
Senri doesn't have writing credits on most songs of her solo albums, I love the drum but drummers typically don't have a lot of writing credits because the way their instrument works means they tend to think differently about music than for example a guitar player. Some tracks she plays on have Senri as a co-writer though. For example, she has co-writer credits on one of the tracks by 坐音 Zaon, but that one is basically a short drum and taiko solo. I found online that Jun Abe wrote this track, but I really should try to dig out my copy of Cider Hard & Sweet to fill out the credits because those are not filled in on the discography website I am currently checking. It seems like Senri might have co-composer credits on this one. But she seems to have 3 tracks on her last solo album that are credited to her, so she might be working on that.

The 2 websites that I use the most are discography where graphy is swapped out with an s (so discog + s) and music + brain + z, but finding info on Japanese musicians is still tough on both of those since they are mainly western focussed. I have added quite a few albums on the first one and there are plenty of people who do, but there are so many artists who aren't even mentioned because the rules state you need to own the actual album before putting it on there. I also tend to use the artists own websites for info if I can find them and if they are translated or if it's info that I can figure out with my limited knowledge of Japanese. But I might be skirting the lines with those sitenames, so hopefully this comment stays up.

Philippe Saisse, keyboards, was with the Sunday Night Band, one of the finest music showcases to grace televisionland. It was hosted by David Sanborn the saxophonist and featured jazzz and eclectic musicians, but also the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Armand Sabal-Lecco, bassist, played with Manu Dibango, Stanley Clarke, Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock, Brecker Brothers, Paul Simon and Senri Kawaguchi. Stanley Clarke called him his favorite bass player, one master to another.
Senri was youngest ever on DrummerWorld's Top 500 of All Time (at age 13) until YOYOKA bumped her (at age 11). Today is YOYOKA's 13th birthday. She has a live stream (from Oakland, CA where she is living until they find a house in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, or so that's the plan at the moment. I didn't know they moved to the US. They should probably move to Las Vegas because the taxes and cost of living in general in California is outrageous. I wonder what her plans are. Her dad has an O-2, here in support of her. The U.S. Embassy in Japan actually sent a delegate to their home in Japan to present her with a "Challenge Coin", an extreme honor. It is unprecedented for someone of her age to get an O-1 Visa and a "Challenge Coin", as you can imagine. And extremely rare that they come to your home in support of your venture. They love Japan but feel the opportunities are better here. YOYOKA wants freedom to express herself in music and the Japanese are more structured and don't like outside the box. When YOYOKA was in school they would only let her play one piece of her kit, like a snare or a cymbal. Each person is assigned one piece. I can tell you dedication and practice. My son went through the Japanese School System and was in the Brass Band at School, They practiced 3-4 hours everyday including Holidays. 7 days a week.
