My son was absolutely ecstatic about this kayak. Stability is awesome, and the kayak itself was more than what we expected. Very good buy and would highly recommend.
I love that bare treble on a swivel idea. Can't count the number of times I've been in the middle of a surface bite when the fish have ignored every lure I tossed out because they only wanted the tiny bugs on the surface. It's worth a try anyway.
You know, I cringe at the video quality but the technique is worth money. 🤣 This has saved my butt several times now in multiple lakes...
Try a woolly bugger and 1 small split shot and just troll slowly
Good advice about the life jacket. First time ever out in a kayak last week. I was in the water 10 minutes and my temp dropped 2 degrees, blood pressure shot up threw the roof. They brought my temp back up at the hospital. I sure was grateful I had that life jacket on!
I absolutely love all your videos and have been binging on them for weeks. One thing i was taught, Try fishing the kastmaster almost like a jig. They seem to like it on the fall...tight lines y'all!

I’ve honestly never seen or thought of trolling the bare treble hook..... green Pistol Pete flatlined with no weight is great for those trout you can see feeding on the surface. That’s a great little fishing lake.
It's a trick I learned once on Lake Whatcom, trolling lures off a boat. At one point we changed a lure and had the bare swivel trailing way behind the boat to untwist the mono line, and a trout bit it! We didn't land it, but after that I tried a bare hook on the swivel, and boom! Got another. And landed him 😂 Will definitely try those pistol pete flies. I bet that would work magic.

Was fishing a high mountain lake with black rooster tail, fish surfacing everywhere with no hits. Took the black skirt of lure and put that with just a hook, no weight. All the difference to get some brookies.

I live in the 7 lakes area north of you. One of my favorite things is to take the pontoon out with the fly rod. Catching fish on a fly you tied yourself is so rewarding. Turn the drag completely off for more fun.

Great video I have a lure 11.5 and I put a 55 lb thrust trolling motor on the back of mine and it's a blast . Total cost jwas 150 for battery and trolling motor

Thank you for mentioning this. Oftentimes we get so caught up in moving on to the next fish, or filling out catch cards, etc, that we forget there is a fish who deserves a quick end. I have to remind myself of that too and I'll make it a point to bring this up 👍

Have you tried tying a fly on a leader with a bobber for weight to cast it further? I had old timer give me a set up that way a few years ago. Keep up the good work and good luck growing your channel.
Thank you! I haven’t tried tying flies yet and haven’t fished them under a bobber either! But now I definitely need to try. Someone recommended the same thing on my Alpine Lakes Trout video. Sounds like it’s a good technique! 🎣

Try a blue vibrax blue fox spinner lure and a Red and Gold Little Cleo. Your luck will change DRAMATICALLY!
about the kidney...a little tip that works... Instead of my fingernails I use a small spoon ( and a regular spoon if it's a Salmon )
