Thanks for the video, it's helped me understand this better. Wondering though if you can shed some more detail on the actual removal? Do I turn the motor via the crank pulley to get to each pressure plate bolt? Which way counter clockwise? Does the back of the motor sink down when you lower the subframe, or just the subframe itself? Thanks again!!

Craig Smith I placed 2 bolts in the bell housing rear flange and turned it with a large screw driver . Turn clock wise. There are 6 pressure plate bolts . The motor will sink with the subframe , don't lower too much . A couple inches should do it . Don't want to pinch or stretch fuel lines

Thanks man - finished up the car the other day. Your method worked!! For future reference we only had to drop the car 1.5" measured between the subframe and the chassis.

Hopefully you see this. Can you bolt the pressure plate back up to the flywheel before you reinstall?

Did you have to mess with the engine mounts at all?

    • @snipsta35

No, once you unbolt the rear part of the bell housing, it should flex up enough where you don’t have to mess with the motor mounts

I bought a 2016 bell housing for this video but ended up having to replace it again after a year so I ended up purchasing a Wes Hawkins V2 bell housing and have been good ever since.
