I just found Fred about 2 weeks ago and I think I watch all his videos . I saved this to the end as I did not want his story to end. He is on a golden ladder at the golden gates checking the top of the columns....what a remarkable man.......RIP sir....patrick Montauk long island

Breaks your heart knowing he’s in that box. Half a day out with the undertaker Fred.. but that’s all for you. The big man upstairs needs you to have a look at his pointing RIP Fred. Love from Scotland

i was watching the bbc 2 series the fred dibnah story which was shown recently and got hooked straight away. what an amazing guy. i had no idea that he had passed away until i googled him. was glad to see he has made a lot of tv programmes, so hopefully i will be able to see a few of them on youtube. thank you for uploading this for the old fans, and the new ones like me.
I was only just told that Fred's funeral was on CZcams -- thanks so much Steve - what a wonderful man Fred was - I shed a tear or two watching this. I honestly think that we will never see the likes of Fred again but it's great that he passed on so much knowledge to his sons. What a great loss. Love to his family xx
I only learnt about Fred through a weird CZcams rabbit hole where I came across one of his chimney felling videos and now after watching this I can't help but shed a tear for such an inspiring and brave man, made of real stuff. I could only wish to experience a fathom of what he achieved in his life time. What a truly incredible man. RIP Fred.
A total one off was Fred. There was never anyone like him before, nor will there be again. A knowledgable man who never let his celebrity status go to his head. Would have loved to have met this gentleman.
A proper grafter to the end and took to his resting place by a steam engine, the perfect exit for fred. I can imagine him saying "WELL THAT WERE A CRACKIN SEND OFF WERNIT?" rip fred.
Your right there mate i went to his place about 3 times, the last time i was there was not long before he past away he made me a brew and signed me a photo of him...what a man.....cheers Steve..
Fred was quite unique and a testament to times when engineers were allowed to be engineers and not tied up in H&S red tape! He also broke through the crust of TV company snobbery to be a TV star without [I guess] ever wanting that for himself. His ability to make things work through improvisation were legendary. Have a well earned rest Fred!! Ken
A type of person not long for this earth anymore, unfortunately! It gets real bad when you see an era go by... Nothing like it will replace it, gone for ever... He stood out, made a go of it... I guess the good man upstairs needs a fine one of kind steeple jack...
It's as true as I stand me old mate. Everyone I know, love's Fred . And still today when people come round my drum they always want to have a lend of the Fred Dibnah collection. A unique man, a one off. Try replacing him? It will never happen. But we have Fred on film. So he will be seen by generation after generation. I hope his boys are looking after his gear.
I've only just found this on YT. I've always admired Fred, I have his biography and never missed his TV programmes. When Fred left us we lost a true proper working class old school character. My family were either engine drivers, worked at the pit or at the steelworks and those industries all had similar characters to Fred. That generation were a different breed to now. God bless Fred's and all of their memories. The world is a much sadder place without them. RIP Fred.
You earned my respect way back in the 1970s. A wonderful human being sadly gone like everything else. Beers free in heaven Fred. Did you like that. 🚜🍺🍻... RIP
he visto casi todos los videos de fred, aunque no entendia lo que decia, ya que yo no se ingles, si que comprendia todo el sentido y valor de lo que hacia, fue un hombre extraordinario y ejemplo para todos. descanse en paz.
He was a very cleaver and talented man who brought steam traction back to life and gave such enthusiasm to what he achieved god rest his soul a true legend
So in incredibly sad, at least another 20 years of life he never got to enjoy. I am 85, born same year as Fred, on Jan st, so can relate so well to his 66 years. What a man ,true English man through and through, never to be replaced.I had to visit the grave and was so sad to see the way it’s been kept ,what’s wrong with this world ,a lack of respect is what the great Fred would say.I constantly watch his videos, listen to his lectures ,he’s left such a mark on me I have the desire to buy a steam roller and why not.His home should quite rightly been saved ,loved by all and cherished for all the wonderful things this man achieved,I personally visited his home and the feeling was magical, sad yet something I just had to do,his work shop holds so many memories for lots of people this should be saved at all costs. I so glad I made the journey.Hopefully one day I will meet Fred but not just yet,

RIP Fred, you legend. Sadly missed, never forgotten.
Best piece of advice that I ever saw Fred give on TV; ‘ Be a good lad and always do what your mam tells you to do’
The world lost one hell of a craftsman on that day.
A fun character to.
Fred used to say "The modern world stinks". He was right. Made all the worse for his passing.
2019. I just finished watching all his videos and it’s ended here what an amazing character. Rest in peace
