    Lovely. More of this please! I have a particular grá for the concertina - anyone know how it came to feature so much in Irish trad? Seems rare in other trad cultures. Oh, btw, the camera work is also lovely.

      I'm not sure, but I believe the popularity of the concertina in Irish music comes from the days of the tall ships, when many of the sailors on British vessels were Irish - the concertina would have been popular on board due to its small size and being (relatively) easy to learn, and the Irish sailors would have brought it back with them when they returned home. That's my theory, at any rate.
