The pros of becoming an architect
The worst way to make a decision is to base your choices off someone else's decisions. Why? Because people will want you to make a decision based on how they feel about whatever it is you’re deciding. That’s why I made the video talking about the cons of architecture and now I’ve made this video about the pros of becoming an architect. Because I want those of you who are interested in the career to get an objective, balanced description of the career so that at the end no one else has chosen your path but you. So let’s get right into it, and remember to reach out if you ever have any questions!
Now that we’ve made it to the end of the video, I have a question for you. And the question is : what is your favorite thing, your “pro” of architecture. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting school, or graduated; leave a comment with your answer down below. I’m really interested to see what you have to say. With that being said, thank you for watching the video; if you enjoyed it press the subscribe button and become part of the community. Take care everyone , see you down in the comments!

    Tips:
•put your model in a cake holder thing so it’s more secure and easier to hold
    •always backup your laptop
•TIME MANAGEMENT IS FUCKING KEY if u don’t have good time management u will have extreme difficulty with this profession
•when people are criticizing your work, don’t agree if you really don’t. Always explain why you did something if they are not understanding instead of sitting there quietly.
•while presenting, make your presence known in the room by standing straight, projection your voice, and making eye contact with everyone. Also I’ve realized that putting in a few jokes to lighten the mood is always a lot better and will make you presenting a lot easier
•finally, have fun. While learning in school, you will get chances to work without a budget and material shortage and just all of the things a real architect gets limited by, so really make your architecture the best it can be while your in school. The limitations of a real architect are actually quite helpful in singling out your design, but when you don’t have them having more creativity and fun with your project are very easy.

Its been an year in Architecture school, and to be honest this year was most creative and encouraging year of my life.
During this year I faced two types of feelings.
#1. when there is the project submission, the day before that, I can do lots and lots of work and dont get tired, but sometimes when things do not move forward its heartbreaking but the next moment its fun and it completes somehow.
#2. When I see other people project and compare them to mine, they look like tons of work done on them but my own looks like a piece of cake in front of it despite the whole time and loads of work I have done on my project. But this feeling fly away when any other student, a senior student or family members come and ask u or admires my project.. "That is the mooost beautiful feeling" and it takes away all the negativie enrgy and tiredness away. And another is to help another student with their work.
All in all Architecture is proven to be a very creative and interesting field.

This semester, even though we're still using more traditional tools, we're being given more freedom of our designs, which is refreshing. We're being given realistic problems to work through, and I've noticed that I've been gaining confidence in myself as well! I always get nervous that maybe I've picked the wrong profession when things get hard, or if I'm not meeting my high standards, but then I remember how fun it is, and the rewards that will come after the hard times, and then things are better. First class of my first year of architecture is DONE!! (With a A- and Labeled Top 3 of our class!!!) I'm going to suggest to my professor to link your video of the cons and pros as something as a "need to watch for the new-comers". I love architecture since I was a kid and nothing will turn me away from my dream. I think that your videos are spot on in describing the atmosphere of schooling. I'm going to keep everything that I have created except for process materials. it is a goal of mine to create Sky scrapers and I can't wait for 3rd and 4 yr studio to start creating what I've had been dreaming about since a child. Learning how to apply my visions onto paper, is the best feeling of all!
Plus we are living in the times of new and futuristic ways of viewing the world. our gen of architects are going to start creating so many great wonders! I can't wait to see new creations of buildings in the next 20 years. as we move away from the tall rectangular shapes and start to reach out in all directions creating monuments to the capabilities of what our minds can think of!

I just started architecture in college, and this is the first video of yours I’ve seen but I immediately had to sub.
I really love getting to play music or audio of any kind while working. I used to listen to instrumental for regular subjects but it’s nice to feel like I have time for the 70 minute video essays or whatever because I’m still productive- drawing, drafting, modeling, etc.- while listening.
If you don’t have one already, I’d appreciate tips on sketching, especially “props” like greenery and people
I love this channel so far tho :D

My pro of Architecture is to study people and their lifestyle; What people they are, how they live, how they work, how they speak or if how their environment has influenced that, in the weather, climate, materials and plants. These for me are an active force which drives my inspiration to create for lively hood a better place to live in terms of; Scale and size, efficiency which I relate with schedules and day today task flow. Ideally for me architecture shapes the users and the users shape the architecture.

architecture is the worst, i love it. the bonds you build from all the heartache and hard-work involved is like nothing out there. you learn so much about people when they're happy, tired, emotional, worn out and most importantly, yourself. you really get in tune with what chaos and peace truly mean to you as an individual because, trust me when i say this, you WILL be tested and pushed beyond your limits but when it pays off, the feeling is out of this world.

i think the best thing about architecture is being one. when someone hears your an architect they just seem fascinated by it. i rmr some kids at school askin me what work my dad did and whenever i told them architecture they were like "whoaaa thats so cool". also the other thing i want is the feeling of completing your first real project like a building. Also studying architecture to me i think it definitely chamges your character because you learn so many new things : you learn to be more punctual, be more creative and technical with your designs, u constantly have to challenge yourself which i think is very rewarding in the end. But you will only gain those rewards if you do put genuine effort into your work.
btw both the pro and con videos were actually very motivating to me. can u make a video on what architecture universities we should apply or how to choose the right uni or give a bg on how u got into your university. also a video on architecture undergrad portfolios and how you can make yours the best one 😁😁.
