I was educated by the nuns who were of the Order of Saint Benedict, they always wrote OSB at the end of their signature, they taught me very well. I wished my granddaughter could have an education like I had but it doesn’t exist any more.

If anyone knows of any miracle stories from St Benedict medal in modern times, I'd like to know. I see many miracles in the protestant churches (Jackie Pullinger, Heidi Baker, Randy Clark, etc, etc) in modern times (I met an ex muslim woman who became protestant after her legs were healed and evened out) but I haven't met any Catholic priests or laity who can live up to Matt 10. I asked a priest once about why Catholic priests can't heal, he said Matt 10 is about spiritual healing and not physical healing.
I have uses for St Benedict medals and St Benedict crosses. They offer me great spiritual protection. I use Immaculate medals as well. I have decades lived in a few haunted houses where I have experienced spiritual attacks and be saved by benevolent spirits. At present, I live in Gallows Hill, plenty of hauntings over here, none deterring me from living my life. This place has another name with sunny tones so not to deter new property buyers into neighbourhood. I didn't know the place was once called Gallows Hill, until some years ago when I discovered its name mon a present legal map. It is still legally called Gallows Hill, but in town, we use another name. At home, I have blessed salt, St Benedict crosses and crucifix in my bedroom. They are great sources of extra protection. Otherwise, I could get frequently awakened by unfamiliar ghosts coming from mostly outside. I'd find them standing by my bedside. That used to happen to me almost every night; ghosts just messed up my sleeping pattern. Previously, I was multiple times awakened by souls like one murdered child ghost who shared with me his memory of an abuse by a trafficker. Truthfully, I never turn away broken souls, especially those who desperately seek help and prayers. For ghosts, I offer nice prayers, not exorcism. Exorcism should be reserved for only truly evil souls, not for harmless ones. Since blessed salt and religious relics like St. Benedict cross, I have been sleeping better. Also, I never have nightmares or sleep paralysis. My workplace is haunted as well. It is as densely haunted as a catacomb, hundreds of town ghosts visiting our place as it was once a pub. I don't interfere with their hauntings which are best left alone: after all, ghosts need their place of solace, some being very sentimentally attached to our place, as old memories of their former lifetimes are there. Fyi, I am spiritually protected, thanks to St Benedict medal and Immaculate medal.

St Benedict has a similar life to Buddhist Bodhidharma. He left his home after his fmaily tried to kill him to get the Family throne. He then became a wise man and went from india to china to spread Buddhism. He eventually made it to a Chinese temple. The monks their thought his new teachings were to radical, so they poisoned him and he died The radical teaching was to stair at a wall for 8 years.
In the actual story, the bread and any other needed items were lowered to St. Benedict in a basket by Romanus. The cave is a great distance down and it would be a pretty tough shot just to toss it down. That said, we say, "why not?" It'd probably be a fun challenge (if you had an unlimited supply of bread!) Who can live in the wilderness without food as in a rural city with markets, stores, etc. He was hidden like God and only Romanus offerred him this charitable act of bread. James Caroll’s write up on St. Benedict seems misplaced. It is contrary to the theory of Fuga Mundi stressed on the Holy Rule. How language when articulated well can twist things around.
If anyone knows of any miracle stories from St Benedict medal in modern times, I'd like to know. I see many miracles in the protestant churches (Jackie Pullinger, Heidi Baker, Randy Clark, etc, etc) in modern times (I met an ex muslim woman who became protestant after her legs were healed and evened out) but I haven't met any Catholic priests or laity who can live up to Matt 10. I asked a priest once about why Catholic priests can't heal, he said Matt 10 is about spiritual healing and not physical healing.
I have uses for St Benedict medals and St Benedict crosses. They offer me great spiritual protection. I use Immaculate medals as well.
I have decades lived in a few haunted houses where I have experienced spiritual attacks and be saved by benevolent spirits.
At present, I live in Gallows Hill, plenty of hauntings over here, none deterring me from living my life. This place has another name with sunny tones so not to deter new property buyers into neighbourhood.
I didn't know the place was once called Gallows Hill, until some years ago when I discovered its name mon a present legal map. It is still legally called Gallows Hill, but in town, we use another name.
At home, I have blessed salt, St Benedict crosses and crucifix in my bedroom. They are great sources of extra protection. Otherwise, I could get frequently awakened by unfamiliar ghosts coming from mostly outside. I'd find them standing by my bedside.
That used to happen to me almost every night; ghosts just messed up my sleeping pattern. Previously, I was multiple times awakened by souls like one murdered child ghost who shared with me his memory of an abuse by a trafficker. Truthfully, I never turn away broken souls, especially those who desperately seek help and prayers. For ghosts, I offer nice prayers, not exorcism. Exorcism should be reserved for only truly evil souls, not for harmless ones.
Since blessed salt and religious relics like St. Benedict cross, I have been sleeping better. Also, I never have nightmares or sleep paralysis.
My workplace is haunted as well. It is as densely haunted as a catacomb, hundreds of town ghosts visiting our place as it was once a pub. I don't interfere with their hauntings which are best left alone: after all, ghosts need their place of solace, some being very sentimentally attached to our place, as old memories of their former lifetimes are there. Fyi, I am spiritually protected, thanks to St Benedict medal and Immaculate medal.

Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time

St Benedict has a similar life to Buddhist Bodhidharma.
He left his home after his fmaily tried to kill him to get the Family throne. He then became a wise man and went from india to china to spread Buddhism. He eventually made it to a Chinese temple. The monks their thought his new teachings were to radical, so they poisoned him and he died
The radical teaching was to stair at a wall for 8 years.
Why did he lower the bread? Its bread. Toss it down.

In the actual story, the bread and any other needed items were lowered to St. Benedict in a basket by Romanus. The cave is a great distance down and it would be a pretty tough shot just to toss it down. That said, we say, "why not?" It'd probably be a fun challenge (if you had an unlimited supply of bread!) Who can live in the wilderness without food as in a rural city with markets, stores, etc.
He was hidden like God and only Romanus offerred him this charitable act of bread.
Benedict reminds me of Simeon Stylites who also received the help of the faithful to have bread.
