this video is fucking beautiful. I especially love how the "accident" scene follows the line "foot on the gas, going fast on the track keep rolling ", then we get the eery still images of the "corpse" with the line " looking at the models all up on the screen, thinking that should be me up on the tv"I don't know if I'm reaching when I say this but I truly believe it's a visual response to the idea that in our culture people live by the mantra live fast, die young. we're all so focused on our goals and hungry for success (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but our refusal to slow down could have serious negative repercussion on our health and wellbeing. and the still images of the corpse speak to the desire to be seen, and appreaciated on a global scale, by any means possible. whether that's dead or alive, you're on tv.
