- Arguably the first truly man made canal, the Bridgewater Canal was the first canal in Britain which did not follow the path of an existing river or tributary when it opened on 17th July 1761. More notably perhaps, the canal’s impact on the price of coal sparked a raft of imitators in a period of frenetic canal building between the 1790s and 1810s which would become known as ‘canal mania’.

Looking forward to you doing a multi-day with the Pantha. Seems like good kit and it's a nice colour but I prefer my tents dark green or brown so they draw less attention.
Most interesting part of Bridgewater canal imo is the Barton swing aquaduct, like to see a stealther on that if there's a safe spot out of sight.
Flipping eck nearly died in there with my boat lol wind pinned us to the side my mate was screaming lol he hen we had to get back haha

What a great canal side camp Paul. The new tent looks awesome, one for the summer I should imagine with all that mesh on the inner? Those 3 chicken kebabs looked lush, I'm going to make one tomorrow after watching you cook those!
Nice area there and yes the tent can be used without the fly sheet and I used nando marinate sausage in a bottle and mi I sweet chillie peppers so enjoy 👍🏻Thanks 🤩🐀

Hey Paul that was a nice lush green camp by the water & chick kebabs looked banging...💯 The OEX UL Panther is defo my favourite of the UL range, purely for space... 2nd would be the Bandicoot... I watched this late last night, so seemed abit too late to comment, as I didn't wanna be disturbing the rats sleep...!💤😄 Ironic how the vids that I watch, often reflect similar things to what I'm doing, but I guess that's why we're all here...!🤣 But yesterday, U ain't gonna believe it, but I was only out messing about on a canal, mad huh...!😯 I got a cheap one man inflatable kayak the other month, slower to paddle than a solid, but really stable & I can fit it in a rucksack & take it anywhere...✔️ Hoping to find a campspot or two on a paddle soon & then I'll be chucking the tent in the back...!😉👍 Stay safe & stealthy dude...👊😎
