  • This is just in honor of the late great george carlin whose very wise words still stick with me every day of my life.
This is a personal project, I decided to upload it to share with the world.
I thought no better way to honor him than the only way I know how, by preserving his best performances in amazing detail
Dear HBO if you ever are intent on copyright striking me, please just contact me first and i will give you this video to use for your own purposes. This is about archiving Carlin and you're welcome to my work (this time) :)
    Thank you and enjoy

You say respect your elders but you don't even know what you're talking about. Respect the people who came from the elders, and learn something before you get mad at it. Peace

I had tickets to his 2008 Atlantic City show in June which he didn't make it to unfortunately, I credit my critical thinking abilities to listening to George Carlin for the 10 years I had access to them before he died (was born in 1985, and didnt get high speed internet till 1999)
Im against celebrity worship in general, Carlin is the only "social commentator" that has been totally consistent throughout his entire career and even if he makes a point I disagree with, I can respect how he got there and understand when he's exaggerating and when he's serious - he's a 1 of 1 of very few 1 of 1s

Many say he got dark. To me he always tried to show the audience just how messed up the people were making society. I believe at the end he knew it would be his last time to try to get through to all the people of the world just how far off track we had come and hope we would find a way to save ourselves. And he did it through comedy. Even now he is my favorite comedian. Make you laugh, make you think, and make you realize you are the solution. Don’t wait on the other guy. Get the change started and laugh.

    • @dannyboswell7188
      @dannyboswell7188 Před rokem +35

I never really seen him as dark. Or really any comedian that told jokes that were considered offensive. I viewed it as they could say something, n not entirely believe, but tell it as a joke. People are too sensitive now. And idk if it’s bc they really feel that way, or if they just wanna mold the world to their comfort (safe place). There’s joke been said that I could relate with in a way that bothers me, but I know it’s not directed to me personally. And still enjoy them. Idc the subject. Any limitations on joke/ comedy, is for communist control freaks. If you don’t like something, don’t give it attention. Simple as that

Dictators Amending Constitutions: It's true that dictators often try to change (amend) the constitution to benefit themselves. This can involve extending term limits, increasing their power, or weakening checks and balances. The example of Putin is a valid one.
Persecution in Dictatorships: People in dictatorships are frequently persecuted for reasons outside the law, including religion, sexual orientation, or economic status. Dictators often target specific groups to maintain power.
Maintaining Control: Dictators do often use questionable methods to stay in power. This can include secret police forces, arbitrary arrests, and detainment camps.
      Not Mentioned, But Worth Noting:
Not all dictatorships are the same. Some may be more brutal than others, with varying degrees of control and repression.
There can be complex reasons why dictatorships form, beyond a single person's desire for power.
Overall, the excerpt gives a good general picture of how dictatorships function. If you'd like to learn more about specific dictators or historical examples, you can search for them online using reputable sources.

All drugs that is designed to screw up your mind is a HARD no for me and are for the weak. I am sorry. You do you and it’s your choice but weed should be banned along with all illegal drugs period. My respect for you just dropped 90%. Have yourself a fine day but we now have no need to ever discuss anything again.

@@BigBaldBearded The irony. You are already drug addict. Sugar, coffeine, tabaco? your own serotonin and etc. You are already influenced by them and they alter your brain chemicals. I DARE you to try get abstinate from them and you would start having withdrawal syndrome in just few weeks. Esp if you are from USA. They add corn syrop into EVERTYTHING.

@@robertnomok9750 What in the literal blue hell did you not understand about what I said??? I said no ILLEGAL DRUGS enter my body. Sugar, caffeine and tobacco are not illegal drugs. And I don’t smoke so tobacco is an irrelevant point. Now, yes I am in the USA and sugar, corn syrup caffeine, those are items that is damn near impossible to get away from. But they are also NOT illegal drugs. Preservatives, I have no control over granted. However, here they are trying to make weed legal (STUPID). Some of the Democratic run states already have “injection sites” for people to safely use crack, cocaine, or inject anything illegal into their body with Narcan on hand. So I have no idea what your reply is suppose to prove, but I will always maintain my stance. NO illegal drugs, weed, cocaine, crack, heroin, etc will enter my body because I prefer to have control of my own faculties. Your statements are not even relevant to what I said since sugar, caffeine and corn syrup are not illegal drugs and I don’t make those items. Nor am I addicted to them. I am a large man because I love pasta and Italian food. That’s my addiction and I have no need to hide that because everyone can see I am a large man. If anything is going to kill me it will be food. But it’s not an illegal drug. But I sure am addicted to Italian food. I never said I was flawless. I am just illegal drugless!

At some point I eventually stopped laughing because I was too pre-occupied with the deep questions that he was asking of me. It was around the 40 minute point I think.

I reach that point around the halfway mark in pretty much every special of his. I've seen them all so many times and it still happens from time to time.

keep doing both! If George had one lesson its that both are necessary for life.
the great thing about a video is you can pause it to follow your thoughts and questioning, then come back when you're ready to laugh with him some more.

George Carlin is like the Led Zeppelin of stand up comedy. He's the best and nobody else comes close.

The level of this man's genesis knows no bounds. He says things no one ever said before and yet everyone can agree. He makes it look so effortless
