- This is one of the biggest properties we have for Fall cleanups! It was quite a challenge this year to get it all into the leaf box, but we got it done!

Never thought I’d spend an hour and a half on a leaf video but here I am , and boy. This is satisfying as heck ! Amazing Job
Enjoyed his improvised lyrics. “Come with me
And you’ll see
A world of OSHA violations”. 😂
Saw the thumbnail and i liked the video even before i started it! OMG
I like how it's about the Ventrek so you slow down that part to see it in action. Great job sir!! Very satisfying video.
great video! Outstanding outcome, Guys!!
Nice work my man! You make it look like a walk in the park!
Great job - and a nice leaf vacuum cleaner.
Greetings from Poland 👋🙂
I don't even know how I got here lol but ohhhhh I do remember the days of landscaping when I was younger. The hot days of summer whew. Fall leaves like this. Its a lot of work. The bigger the yard the more work.
It's has more to do with the amount of trees.
I know I'm a bit late to the video but keeping a 2x2ft board with some handles on the back stashed on the truck could help with compacting the leaves down into the trailer
If you can find some way to shred the leaves going into the trailer you can get way more in the trailer. I have down the leaf collecting with my mulching mower and bagger for the last 10 years. I have created a compost heap in my back yard for the good black dirt the leaves make.
The loader is supposed to shred it quite a bit as it gets loaded, though I believe the inner lining on this one needs replaced so it was not shredding very well for us this Fall.
use a landscape rake to feed the vac and try to have one of the guys follow you when you use the leaf plow. Push the row and have them blow the remaining leaves into the next pass.
These people are not very bright owners of property paying for hauling leaves and not mowing back into the yard like a millionaire land maintenance enterprise and I do not rip of people and mulched the leaves and a lot more professional 28years I've been same kind of job......
So amazing....well done!🎉
Thank you!! 😊
We always mulch as much leaves at the front of the yard as possible, really helps save on room, it’s very dusty but I can fit 3 yards worth in a trailer your size. Good video though, fun to see how other guys do it
THIS IS SO SATISFYING
You guys are very diligent...That's a LOT of leaves to move...You guys made the place really shine! I HATE LEAVES! BAN TREES! ...:)
You guys did an amazing job!Love it!❤
Hey Luis, you are awesome! Really appreciate the super thanks! ❤
That property was definitely a lot of work! 💪

Crazy clean up
Hey there Sawyer! You have a LOT of full leafs in your leaf box. One way to fit more leafs in your box would be to blow the leafs into the intake hose with the handhelds. It allows the machine to process the leafs better and faster rather that being sucked up in big chunks by running the intake hose directly into the pile. Saves your back and arms from all the raking too! My regular routine is to blow everything into the driveway then blow them directly into the intake hose. The cement drives allow the leaves to be moved easier and quicker, and the debris loader is able to mulch the leafs better because they aren't being run through as chunks of leafs bogging the machine down and just transferring the leafs from the ground to the box. Nice video! You got a 100% watch time from me!
Appreciate it! For these particular types of piles we are unable to do that, this pile has way more leaves in it than it looks.
When you use the leaf plow, it does move huge amounts of leaves but it also super compacts them into effectively leaf mats that have to be broken up with rakes in order to even get them into the debris loader. If this was a loose pile it would be probably twice this size!
Its an unfortunate trade off of using the plow. Easier on the front end, harder on the back end of the job.
@@sawyerslawncareservice I have heard that plowing the leaves does that. I wouldn’t even know where to start bidding a property that big! 🤣. All my properties are smaller subdivisions with a max price of $500. Best of luck with the leaves this year!! The incoming calls for service is out of control! Get it while ya can lol.
There is definitely an art to blowing leaves…. Obviously you guys made it look too easy. Nice work!
Can't even imagine doing that by hand, it'd take all winter and summer by the time I was done.
Yeah that would not be fun at all!
Holy crap! That's a lot of leaves.
They have a lot of trees bordering the property!
Did grounds maintenance for a local school district for 35 years. When I retired in 2012 the mower I was using was a John Deere F1145 front mower. 4x4 72 inch deck with a mulch kit installed. When it came to leaves it simply made then disappear. One pass, but if they were a little deep two passes and the leaves were in such small pieces they were gone down in the grass. By spring it was as if we had no trees I t was such a good strong running mower. 28 hp Yanmar it plowed snow with turf tires so well a great sidewalk clearing machine. Curtis hard cab with heat. Now they use a Ven Trac mower in it's place. Not sure if they traded it or sent it to one of the other schools.
Yeah I blow the leaves off the hard surfaces and into the yard and use a rake for matted leaves in tight spots here and there and then after 1-2 passes even a thick layer of leaves basically becomes nothing but lawn feed with a good mulching set up. I never understand all the people raking leaves in the neighborhood just to throw them in bags to be dumped at a landfill when that's just more work and a waste of great lawn feed. I've even experimented with taking the push mower with a good mulching blade to waist high piles of leaves and while it takes more than 2 passes even those leaves disappear like magic.
You 3 work well together
This actually interesting to watch.
Those sidewalks and stone walls would be a great candidate for a power washing job.
I don't know English, but - you awesome guys! Like it!
Thank you! 😃
I hate my monster cleanups..love the postage stamps!
Very satisfying to watch, having had to clear my yard of 6 inch deep carpet of leaves alone several times. Would be great to have another blower blowing in different direction when trying to clear tight spaces and corners.
But the final collection with vacuum mulched was frustrating. You were overwhelming the guy w the hose and throwing leaves all over so he had to suck all over.
Should have had him sweep just one arch and rake leaves into that arch only. Or better yet, have him remain stationary and nudge leaves to him with leaf pusher.
There were so many leaves the rakers could have laid in leaves and taken it easy for a few minutes until the vacuum guy cleared all the leaves within reach, then pushed some more to him. Seems like you finally got it towards the very end.
They kept swamping him with enough leaves to take 5 minutes to clear.
Also knew that massive amount of leaves wouldn’t fit in that trailer. But amazed how much did.
Thanks for watching! So there is actually a reason behind all the extra raking.
When you use the leaf plow to move the leaves, it actually compacts them into matted sections of leaves that the debris loader cannot suck up. You have to break them apart with the rakes in order to get them through the debris vac. The Plow makes for a faster cleanup on the front end, but a little more difficult on the back end when finishing up the job!
That is quite a property! Leaf Fest 2023!
And the trees are at a far distance, so how did the leaves get spread out like that? Wow.
I used use ride on mower to shred leaves then suck them up, then have lawn blown and raked. But after I did my part I would start sucking up pile so I did t have my guys raking pile over and over. Plus i kept up with Billy goat shredder using rider mulched leaves then Billy goat shredded them again. So got lots of leaves in dump bed. 40 yrs experience.
..
The impeller gets worn and bends, which effects the shredder and suction performance.
This looks just like my neighborhood here in North Carolina.
Seems to me that your instructions confuses the other kids
Fair, I sometimes confuse even myself 😅
Crew did a helluva job nonetheless
Fr😅😅😅
Work as u go
No
It is very nice to watch huge leaf pile lol😅
Check your replaceable liner in the billy goat. A lot of those leaves are still whole and not chipped up. Great job on that cleanup, it was huge!!
Didn't know it had one, ill have to look into that! This is it's 3rd season in use.
Maybe a little wonder push blower Honda 13 hp
Move the furniture it’s makes a lot easier
How much around for that clean up
What gets me is the constant direction giving with a leaf blower. They are leaf blowers you can’t really mess it up been doing it for years just let them blow the leaves
There's actually a bit more to it than that. The wind changes direction a lot, the pointing is mainly to point out where we are making a windrow away from obstacles so the Ventrac can push it effectively, working as a team to blow leaves around corners, working from front to back on a large pile together to move it where it needs to go, etc.
Quite a lot going on being directed as a team by hand signals they are looking out for so we don't have to shout over the equipment to communicate! :)
I was thinking the same thing. It was like every 5 secs you were giving orders. And that’s taking into account the vid speed up. And crossing in front of their paths and slowing down progress. I understand wind direction changes. But not that often. Let’s get real. If they are new guys I could understand some of that guidance. But even then. Not that much. Seems like you just got that boss mentality of being better. And just want to hear yourself talk. I’m sure your guys want to do a good job. But don’t think there’s the need to give none stop orders and micro manage. Please bring yourself down a level off that pedestal. Also couple things to cut time and save money. Stretch that hose out more when vacuuming. Goes a lot faster and mulches better. And when pushing the leaves. No need to go back and forth like you did. Just drive a path or two of the highest buildup. And go back to blowing. When in corners or like by the front door. Blow in a circular pattern. Seen you did it a couple times but didn’t follow thru completely. Other than that. Good job. Looks good.
@@willhr3soccer I couldn't of said it better myself!!! Everything single word u said I was thinking myself...like c'mon now their leaf blowing,it can't be really too much to it....
Never thought I'd watch a leaf clean up video while recording a farming simulator video
I good idea would be to buy a big board to place in the trailer with the leaves to push down a large area at once and not have the leaves come through. Covers a greater area than just stamping with your feet!
It drives me nuts when you drive through four or 5 feet of leaves and then you drop the plow. Why would you not grab them from the beginning?
I'm probably either lining up to go the other way with them, or the spot is not as deep as it looks like it is on camera 🙂
I saw your thumbnail and thought "look at all that mulch
We do lay a lot of mulch, but not in this particular video!
Very nice job! I was thinking would it not be easier with that big of property to blow leaves open areas of yard and hit them with a couple of stander mowers with gator blades? Make a couple and dice those leaves up into basically nothing . Makes a nice fertilizer and nutrients for lawn as well!
You can do that yes! This customer wanted them removed from the property.
Remove the nutrients in the fall, put down fertilizer in the spring. Keep the lawn care companies in business :) People are funny.
Do they make a leaf grinder to go in-line with the vacuum? Sounds like that could be very advantageous. Great work!
So it has a grinder inside of it. I recently got it serviced and it had a lot of problems with it that were leading to it not working properly.
Apparently its been running on just 1 of 2 cylinders in the engine and the inner liner that helps it make the particles smaller needed replaced, it should be working a lot better once they are done with it!
Enormous job. Well done. It looks like there aren’t that many trees…where did all those leaves come from?
Thanks! They have one big one in the front yard, several large ones behind the house and a big line of trees on both sides of the property!
You should buy the ventrack blower configuration
Planning on getting a Ventrac Turbine blower for next Fall!
@1hr7min, your battery hold down is installed wrong. The angle bracket should be over the top outside corner so that it holds the battery down and back. That's why the bolts are sticking out so far right now. Once you move it to the corner there won't be much bolt protrusion. The way it is installed now could cause a short across the battery posts. 🔥
Ill have to take a look at that!
Two roller blower’s and a heavy capacity vacuum and your done
Great for next year’s compost!
Awesome video. Where did you get the trailer mounts for the echo blower?
Hello! They are the Buyers backpack blower mounts, with a custom attachment at the bottom to help support the blowers on the trailer from bouncing up and down when moving.

Its monday afternoon.
My wife walks in the room and says
" you watching other guys work?"
Yes because i did my yard with a backpack blower and just sent them into the woods in the back yard because its also my property.
Big pile of leaves they can compost back there off the grass.
Was going to mow one more time but lawn tractor won't start change the starter, and relay still slow running starter batters at 12 volts on a 50 amp charger in jump mode.
Pulled both plugs motor turns but seems like it still has compression
I think i might have some stuck valves ill have to ck the valve lash.
Last time i used it it ran fine.
Hope you can get it running again! Hey I watch landscape videos too when I'm not working 😋 I get it.
FYI this property is the highest elevation property in Stark Co.Just a cool little fun fact I learned a few years back. I service the property across the street and I would never take on this job due to the gravel issue. My only suggestion for you is to buy a bigger loader. I used the 18 hp units in the past and they are wasting all your time. You want at least a 25 hp with a 12 '' hose. It will change your life forever. The larger loaders will also solve your packing problem since they can force more material farther back into your bin and grind it very fine, the 2 stage units will also give you more yield per load to the point where you won't really need to increase the size of your bin because the weight of the processed material will probably be close to the max GVWR of that trailer anyway. Your overall process is very much like how I do all my big jobs, the leaf plow is the best tool for this job.
Interesting fact! Yeah this debris loader usually grinds stuff up a lot better, the inner liner needs replaced on it. There is actually a spot in it now next to one of the bolts where it is worn through and some leaf debris spits out when in operation. Along with that the leaf plow does compact the leaves quite abit in the pile so it makes them much harder to suck up. It needs to go in for a tune up as it has been running a little rough this Fall overall.
We charge by the labor hour for our Fall cleanups so we aren't technically wasting time with a smaller loader, it is just what we have to work with at this point in time.
For this particular leaf box setup, we will probably just stick to this loader for now, when it is operating properly it is not too bad and there is currently other equipment we are investing in outside of Fall cleanup equipment!
For sure we will be upgrading to a much bigger debris loader eventually when we build leaf box 2.0 on a bigger dump trailer down the road, that will be after we upgrade to larger trucks/trailers.
I give in...😮
You are good
We prefer shredding / mowing fall debris. Gets free fertility and saves collecting & hauling. Carbon savings. Stay safe.
Awesome job. How experienced are the 2 guys working with you? What area are you located in? I am in nw arkansas and have a lot of these size jobs.
We are in Ohio! One guy has been at it for a few years, the other guy, this is his first year in Landscaping.
I tried this method. Very inefficient. I have properties larger than you just did with more trees and I can do it in less time with less people and less labor...same amount of equipment per piece. This business is a learning curve, and after 17 years and a lot of mistakes, and watching a lot of great companies CZcams videos, I kinda got it dialed in. Always learning. Time is money! Keep up the good work! Thanks for the video!
where do the leaves you removed go? How heavy was this load? The leaf vacuum reminds of some Dr Suess machines I remember seeing.
Hello! Our leaves go to multiple local disposal facilities that process it into premium mulch for the following season to be used in Landscape beds!
What a ton of leaves. You guys looked like it literally took all day. How many hours did it take?
This one was around 3.5 hours with 3 people. We just got there in the evening!
My first thought watching this is that 80% of the leaves aren't even down yet
We do the cleanups as requested, this is when they wanted us to do the first cleanup 🙂
New job
Geeeeezzzzz......
Lol I can imagine this guy explaining to his wife why he needs to buy this big as tractor and plow to push leaves, how much time it saves rather than just blowing them the whole way haha
The tractor does so much more than just push leaves though 😂
You guys should mulch up with one tractor and use another to pick it up. Walker's are ideal for these clean ups.
Our current mower setup would not allow for that but you could with the right setup!
No clean trampolim?? And i work this i clean everyf.. This is good work!
When it has a net on it there really isn't an easy way to get them off of it. With our fall cleanups being by the labor hour, its not really something our clients want us wasting time on.
@@sawyerslawncareservice True Sr. Im srry. Have nice day Sr. And good jobe.
Seems like a really expensive machine Just to push leaves when a large tarp works really well too to drag them
It is for sure, but we only use it for a few minutes at a time!
If you weren't 325 miles away I would gladly accept all that leaf mulch.
I wouldn’t have the patience with that vacuum! Doesn’t it have a seperate motor to the muncher??
It has one engine to chop it up and suck it up. We are possibly looking at investing in a bigger setup next season!
My least favorite thing to do, blow those patio areas out that have a lot of furniture and rails. Nice cleanup work! 👍
That patio was very slick to walk on, don't know what it was coated with. Thanks!
Had a landscape business for 27+ years. That vacuum would suck up faster and mulch much better if you stretch that hose out as far as possible, as straight as possible. You are vacuuming too close to the machine. Plus it would have the power to blow the leaves further to back of trailer, less bogging down at mouth of the machine.
For sure! We were planning on changing the mounting direction so the hose would go straight out to the side but we ran out of time before the season started to get it changed this season!
@@sawyerslawncareservice that vacuum was THE BEST investment I made. It took some trial and error to get maximum efficiency but Wow, great time saver! I miss those days!
Get a flail mower for that ventrac it will turn them leaves to dust and easily go through the vac and easily fit in that trailer
I would be interested to see what it would do to leaves, but I feel like it would get jammed up as its designed for field mowing.
Just thinking out loud, with these type jobs, have you ever considered partering with a roll off dumpster company and rented a skid steer by the week to collect the leaves? Seems like it takes an awful lot of time to suck them up with the vacuum. With roll off duspter and skid steer, you could quickly load the leaves in by machine.
It does take a minute to get it loaded, but it's just a part of the job! We charge by the labor hour for our Fall cleanup services.
That particular set of euipment rentals would probably be cost effective for some landscape jobs but not for us when it comes to leaves 🙂
@@sawyerslawncareservice right right, just wanst sure how beneficial it would be for renting those services for the few weeks you do leaves. Obviously it would cost money for rentals but if you could then take on more jobs it might equate to more money.
With that kind of job, there's no need for a fitness studio, that's for sure. Burning calories, heyo!
Need to mount strobes on the rear of the trailers
Just an idea but if you got the flail mower for the ventrac you could mulch them before you vacuum. I'm not impressed with the shredding of the billy goat.
I'm not quite sure its designed to do that but I wouldn't mind owning one!
Cómo te gusta la mandarina 😅
The Leafspusher is nearly the biggest Timekiller ive ever seen ! You have all the Leafs in one Line , why are you pushing it instead of sucking it in with something like a Lownmower ? Bigger Version i mean :D
I can’t be the only one who wants to burn all the leaves at the end lol
That would be quite a fiery mess!
I know right 😅😅😅
Looking to get in to the lawn care business how much would you bid on something like that
We charge by the labor hour for our cleanups along with a disposal charge per dump trailer load. This one was around $600-$800
What stand up do you use? How do you like it? Considering getting our first stand on, not sure a brand yet
We currently use 2 Wright Stander X, with 52in Decks. It is a really good machine, especially on hills! It does have some issues with clumping wet grass and not throwing it very far even with high lift blades on wet, thick lawns. It really depends on how the grass is in your area.
I would for sure do some research on CZcams before making your first mower purchase. Personally I may be switching over to the Toro Multi-force mowers in the future, they have a higher price tag, but they seem to handle wet grass better and have a lot of other options we are interested in!
Hope this helps!
Yes it does! I know wright was the OG w/ stand ons but have been looking at bad boy, toro, exmark and gravley. Much appreciated@@sawyerslawncareservice
Another major thing to keep in mind is Toro has their "Point system". If you are buying it as a commercial business purchase. I believe one multiforce + 1 attachment gets you tier 1, 2 mowers purchased gets you tier 2 pricing. (don't quote me on that). Here is a link to what i'm talking about.

How long did it take you to that yard
I believe a little over 3 hours with 3 people 👍
@@sawyerslawncareservice That's 9 man hours. Way too long!
It’s too bad that Billy Goat shredder doesn’t grind them finer. I have a hand held black and decker Leaf Hog that reduces leaf mass 11 to 1.
It has in the past, I think I just need to get a replacement insert for it so the leaves have less room to escape the impeller.
Boys why are you using grass rakes to pull leaves into your trailer, only use that when there's no piles left. Instead use a garden fork. It will dig into the piles quicker and it will make life easier. Do not use on leaf that is not piled as you will damage ground.instead use the fork like a shovel and scoop and push like bailing hey
I wonder, how many hours did that take?
About 3 hours with 3 people!
i wouldve put the deck on that ventrac and just mulched them up....
Hello! This client did not want them mulched up, they wanted them removed from the property.
My crew just walked off this channel after seeing that leaf loader. Once I bought a giant vac 65 hp Wisconsin with 18" hose they'd rather quit than a use a small vac . Spoiled brats. Lol
What will be done to the leaves when you dump them?
They go to a large debris disposal facility which will turn it into mulch for next year!

Your bottle neck seems to be vacuum to save time you could have it running as soon as you show up.
So with the Ventrac leaf plow, it kinda of packs them into compact leaf mats in the pile, this being one of the first jobs we used it on large scale, we figured that out as we went along. We are planning to upgrade to a much bigger vac this season!
