Hello everyone, Hope all is well. This is the first part of a series on how to map out a training plan for an ultra. Full videos are on patreon patreon.com/user?u=7128855 but I will upload some nuggets on here too. Take care and talk soon , Abdullah
I went nuts during trans am in Kansas. It was so boring. It fixed right away when I spoke to another racer. I'm craving the high from the race. Need it. Changing my life to do it next year.
Love this… I’ve been there, in that dark place when out running long distance with friends. I was once in the pain cave and for a while I was hoping my mate would slip and injure himself so we could stop 😂
I really relate to this even though i'm nowhere near your level of endurance but like you said it's relative to the individual. 9 months after getting into cycling I done the Dirty Dozen ride in Adelaide 140km, 3800m of climbing and I got that first feeling of digging deep into my psyche, I battled cramps from 40km, 1 of which made me crash, the lack of fitness and endurance made it a max effort for me, when I got home my calf muscle done the most crippling cramp, all I could do is scream. The next year I completed the ride 3hrs quicker so it was much easier. What you done riding across Australia was unreal, I don't think I need to do that but hopefully 1 day I will challenge myself and do the 900km Mawson trail.
